what would do if you saw this happen to someone

Once I saw a "boy" hit his pregnant wife. I called him boy, because a man would not have done it. I started to grab him and try to make him let her alome but my s/o stepped in and basically set that boy on his butt. A one on one fight is often okay unless the odds are way off or the injuries are becoming life threatening. You did a good thing when you intervened with that fight. These guys that gang up and jump on a single individual are poor excuses for people. They need an old-fashioned butt whooping to give them a taste of pain.

I saw a televsion report on a similar situation not long ago. They were conducting an experiment to see people's reactions. It was just a verbal argument, not physical, but they wanted to see who would get involved. Well the majority of people just keep walking minding their own business. Just a couple of them stopped and got involved. It was very sad to see. I hope that if I do come across something like that, if it were just men, I would start screaming for help and call the police on my cell. If a woman were involved (being a woman myself), I 'd probably jump in and try to help her. Hope we don't come across any of that!

Myself, being a woman, I wouldn't feel fit to interrupt the altercation personally. But I would definitely call the police.
