How many of you at some point of time in your life had wanted to have twins? I was really hoping to have twins when I got married. I guess I was always fascinated by the fact of having 2 kids in your home at the same time. But thinking about it practically I think it is very tough. With my 4 month old baby boy I find it tough to handle him and do all other household stuff I just cannot imagine how I would have managed with 2 kids at a time.
All the people with twins are welcome to share their experiences and the ones who hoped to have twins and did not may also share their views please.

I have twin sister, and mom used to tell us that we were double the trouble. My other brother and sisters were like four years apart and she only had to take care of them one at time. With me and my sister she was taking care of two babies at once. If one us wasn't getting into mischief than the other one was.

I have twins my dear! But they are not my kids but rather my grandchildren by my niece. When I was younger, I also wanted and prayed to have my own twins but the Lord gave me only one son. However, my prayer was answered in a different way. My eldest niece gave birth to a handsome pair of identical twins and I claimed this as God's answer to my prayers. The twins are almost like mine. I love them just as I love my own son. And my hubby and son love them as much too. I have them in my home so often and they call my home their home too. They would be with me all day during the weekends and during the weekdays every other day I would pick them to sleep with us.
You are right! Twins are indeed fascinating. They look almost alike and people around us are always confused on how they could differentiate one from the other. They both have handsome face, their eyes are so captivating and they give charming smiles to everyone. They are a jolly pair and they seldom cry. They are ever playful and oh so bright!

I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE TWINS... know, my would be wife and the mother of the babies would have to suffer more for all the period of pregnancy. but there are many advantages as well. it will be once as i desire for two and only two children. so, the problem once and done.. then the grandparents will have lesser number of fights. each can play with one.the dadaji can take care of one and take him outdoors while dadi can have fun with one indoors. the mother can also see the babies at any time, at least one. and the biggest of all, I WILL HEAR PAPA DOUBLE THE NUMBER OF TIMES in a lesser time period

I was really hoping for twins, prefferable girl twins but God gave me baby boy, yes, it's really hard to have baby, my 8 months old baby is a hardwork, so imagine if you going to have twins, two at a time, and you are living own your own without the help of you mum or sisters, that's veyr very hard work and expensive, how can youa fford that? except if you are doing well in money!

I do not want twins because I have taken care of them first hand, but I know that they are in my family's history, so whether I want twins or not, I might have them.

Me me me!!! I have always wanted to have twins and a boy and a girl would have made it more perfect. Being a single child myself, I know how lonely the growing years can be and no matter how much parents try, they can never understand the child at all times. Only another child can understand a child completely. Also having twins meant that the trouble of pregnancy would not have to be repeated…(sigh) that was not to be. But I am happy with my son as it is.

I really have never had the thought or desire to have a set of twins. I just have my one young son and he is enough for me. Taking care of two exact people especially changing diapers and napping habits would be a lot of stress. Having two kids exactly the same would be a lot for me. Of course I would love them but I would find it a challenge to say the least.
I have seen people who have twins and some parents can handle the everyday struggles. They are good people.
