It is almost 3:30pm. My hubby has walked to the bus stop to get our daughter. He left the front door open as the dog knows what time it is. As soon as you couldn't see him anymore she began to whine. When it is my turn to get my daughter you can hear her through the door. She only does this on school days. Other times she just lays on her dog bed. Does your dog miss you kids? How do you make them feel better?

I think it shows a great bond between dog and family. :)

My 9 year old has a yorkshire terrier. We only had him a month. When she leaves for school he doesn't miss her at all when she is gone the 7 hours. No whinning and even when she comes home from school he does not seem happy to see her. Only time will tell.

My dogs don't really miss my son when he is at school. They will be out there in the morning with him when he gets on the bus, but they forget about him as soon as the bus pulls away. They LOVE my daughter though. The try to fight for her affection when we get back from going somewhere.
