Terry Redlin: My favorite artist

I have been in love with the art of Terry Redlin for quite sometime. I have three of his prints and nine of his beautiful plates! I have read many articles on him and all the good things he does with all the money he has made with his paintings. A friend of mine just recently went to Watertown South Dakota to his gallery and museum and said it was one of the most beautiful places to visit. But while they were touring the gallery one of the gals that works at his gallery told my friends that Mr. Redlin is in a nursing home and suffers from Alzheimers so bad that he doesn't even know his own wife. So to honor a wonderful artist and an even more wonderful human being......this discussion is for you Terry Redlin! You have brought beauty into my life and so many other's....you have donated money to hospitals to care for sick children and that is only one of the many things you have done to help others less fortunate! With great money come great responsibility....and you have shown that you know how to handle responsibility! Here's to you Terry Redlin!

That is so sad to hear that he is ill. We can can only hope they will find somekind of cure. They have been working on that for so many years now. It is a very sad thing when something like that happens to anybody. The good thing is maybe he will just paint to be happy. And help him get through the day's. My Grandmother painted as she couldn't remember how to knitt anymore. Have a wonderful day and read ya later. He is one of of the best painters ever. I owned a few Terry Redlin's at one time too (or rather my ex did), as well as coffee mugs and plates that depicted his works. He is truly one of the great artists of our day, and many have tried to capture his work but none can truly measure up.
I lived in MN for a few years so I've been to the gallery in Watertown twice when on the way to inlaws in SD. It truly is an amazing place, and a wonderful tribute to his work.
