With Manchester City being bought out buy rich oil barons it opens up the deate about Liverpool . Is it time for Dubai International Capital to once and for all buy out these american owners who have put our club into debt and not kept to their original promises . Although many fans got exited about having new rich owners , I think that many of them did see through the Americans and have not wanted the involvement that the have had with the club. Will D.I.C. now bid for the club knowing that the plans for the new stadium are once again on hold .

The difference between Man City and Liverpool is the fact that Man City was owned by only one owner whereas Liverpool is owned by two owners. What's more they can't see eye to eye. So both of them are not willing to listen to the offers the other is listening to. That makes it that much more difficult. Last year itself the Dubai consortium was visibly peeved off by this, I am not sure they would come around, till there is patch up at Liverpool.
Cheers!

I think when Americans enter any business it is for money!! I would have been interested to see what would have happened had Man U not won the league the last two years. Then we would have seen the other side of the Glaziers. Unfortunately in Liverpool's case they have not won anything in the last two years and thus the ugly side is out.
Cheers!

I am a Liverpool fan but think ownership of a football club should be more than just putting billions of pounds into the club. In many ways I think there should be salary caps or transfer caps, and foreign player caps.
For Liverpool I just want an owner who has a passion for the club, and people who do not see the club just as a financial investment.
