Are you afraid that terrorists might strike somewhere near you?

Given today's world of terrorism, are you afraid that terror might strike somewhere near you? In India in the past 5 months, 4 cities have been targeted with serial bombs and that is making the public uneasy about safety. Any sympathy people had for these people's causes have evaporated and now people would go any lengths to capture and punish these guys. What's your views on this? Cheers! Ram

I'm not afraid of any terrorists strikes in Romania. Even if we are allies with the US or other terrorist targets, we are not such a powerful or rich country, so terrorist strikes won't have much effect - there isn't much they will obtain from that. We are more concerned with the local crime than with terrorism.

That's right. But, unfortunately, these days the strikes seem to as much deal with publicity as much with actual terror intent to shake up any country. With the amount of media coverage given to these people, they will take up whichever country is easier to ravage!! Cheers! Ram

I am not afraid that they will target too close to home because I live in a fairly small town, but I do fear they will attack our country.

Unfortunately, these people do not seem to have any such reservations against any small towns either. Their preference is bigger cities though. Cheers! Ram

To me, it's unimaginable that you could live with the threats so near. Here in the US, we're always aware that it could happen, and our lives aren't the same as before 9/01. Still, we don't face the daily threats that people face in India and other countries. We pray for peace and tolerance, and for life to feel safe again for everyone!

Unfortunately, but this is true here. I hope that the Govt. has the will and the skill to fight of this new face of terror here in India. Cheers! Ram
