How long do you let your finger nails grow?

Some people let them get very long. Others keep them extremely short. Since I have been pregnant, I have noticed my nails have been getting longer quickly. I know it is time to do something when my daughter complains that my nails have "gotten" her. How often do you give the claws a trim?

My fingernails grow so fast it's not funny! I need to trim them once a week to keep them in check. I am a male so long fingernails aren't overly attractive and are difficult to explain!

Well hey, the trimmed look is better than the bitten look right?

I usually will just let them grow just as long as they can. I never cut them off with a nail clipper.. The only way that they will come off, is if, they break off by themselves..

I'd have to trim the rough edges.

I let mine grow to a medioum length, I don't like really long nails, they get in my way.. I love to keep mine manicured, usually the same color nail polish, and I do file them a bit about once a month.. I just can't work with long nails..

I think I have to trim my nails weekly. Hard to tell. They grow faster when I've been downing energy drinks. That's probably a sign that I'm drinking too many of them. :)

hi, i never cut my nails until they break. i like to have long nails. they usually grow till a certain level, not so big and all. after it reaches that level it starts to break. then i cut the nails. my mom really doesn't like to see long nails, she keeps telling me to cut it. happy mylotting!

I know what you mean about your nails getting long when you are pregnant. I think it may have something to do with the prenatal vitamins. I keep my nails fairly short because I do daycare and always have lots of children around. I also find that long nails make it harder to type accurately. I probably trim my nails once a week.

I am a nail biter sometimes. I have tried to quit and did so for a few months and my nails looked great but with nerves and stress I they ended up short soon. so they are about 1/8 of a inch long above the tips of my fingers. My thumbnails are longer and sturdier and are about 1/2 in long above thumbs. My fingernails are often brittle and break easy. I need to sart taking a vitamin for hair and nails to help out give them a boost.

Mine grow like crazy all the time. I normally do mine about once every week or two. I sometimes get lazy and let them grow a bit longer. I really need to cut them right now. I did my toenails earlier today, but I have not gotten to the fingers yet.

I don't usually cut my nails unless they break and theres a rough edge. I just let them grow until they break. My husband loves them when I scratch his back, but hates them when I accidently poke him LOL.

i don't and never let my nails grow too long. It is not making me feel comfortable. When I keep my fingers like this, it's making me feel clean. I cut my nails every three days. So that it will not be too much long.

I never had a long finger nail, because whenever I try to let it grow, it breaks by itself! Mine was short but not too short.

I used to keep them a bit long so I could pick up small stuff in the workshop but nowadays since I am spending more time with my loved one I have to cut them short so as not to hurt her.
