For the record, both Spanish language campaign ads contained lies |
| |
| Bill O'Reilly addressed the issue of the recent campaign ads directed at spanish speaking voters by both candidates on his radio program today. He pointed out several lies in both the McCain and the Obama ads. His analysis was that both candidates said exactly what they thought those people wanted to hear and that both candidates insulted their intelligence in doing so. So, it looks like this one was a tie. | | | | | |

| | That's the only reason I listen to his radio show at lunch. He's a bit of a blowhard but he's worked hard to give everyone a fair shake, to verify or dispute the rumors and, recently to help his listeners understand what was happening on Wall Street and why. | | | |

| | Ummm... the following statement is not meant to hurt anyone's feelings. As a human being, I am convinced it is my duty to at least mention the following when people speak favorably about Bill-O. He's an idiot. He's abusive to his staff and guests. He's a hypocrite. He's more interested in sharing what he's learned from his 'word of the day' calendar than he is in actually learning anything important. He's willfully ignorant. He couldn't argue his way out of a paper bag... thus the numerous "shut up"s over the years. He is a slave to the conservative identity he profits from, but barely understands. Again, he's an idiot. Please reconsider using Bill-O as a source of any political information. Also, for your own sake, refrain from siting Bill-O in arguments. It really doesn't make anyone seem smart, or informed, or even logical. | | | | | | |

| | As with everything else in this election season, well informed people get their information from a variety of sources. I do agree that Bill is abusive and arrogant. He has, however, put himself up to a standard during this time that he will seek out the facts, whether he agrees with them or not, and relay those facts to the public. I agree that he is very conservative but that does not preclude him from giving equal time and attention to both parties right now. I have heard him make critical comments towards both McCain and Obama. As far as his "word of the day" calendar, I have no idea how that relates to the daily discussions I've heard that have been right on topic as far as what is currently being covered by the media in general. After the Rush L. rebuttal, Bill obtained copies of both ads, played them on the air, translated them and then informed the listeners comments were lies and why. Maybe you would like to enlighten me as to how that is conservative bias since you're so much more intelligent than I am? It really doesn't make anyone seem smart, or informed, or even logical to ignore a source of veirifiable information simply because you don't like him. | | | |

| | Well, I tried to help you. "THIS TIME" he has standards? Look, you can't have a standard to seek the truth and then use "shut up" to turn off a conversation when it doesn't accommodate your agenda. I listen to conservative radio A LOT. I'm not republican or a democrat. I just want to know both sides of a story. I never watch Bill because he's never understood that he is not the story. His approach to political commentary make Hannity look like a reliable source of information. | | | |

| | I listen to conservative radio too, just to get both sides. I'm a registered Democrat and I will be voting for Obama. The conservative radio programs, some more than others, shock me with their extremist views. I try really hard to listen to them though! | | | |

| | I will also be voting for Obama.... which says something because I listen to Hannity, Glen Beck, Lars Larson, all those guys. They are so driven by party (and career) loyalty I can't trust what they say. Lately I just listen to conservative radio because they ARE extremists and they frighten me. I have to know how crazy things are getting on the right. | | | |

| | I wish more political commentators would point out the flaws of both sides. This would give an honest third party more of a chance. | | | | | | |
