Christmas Balls - Christmas holidays is near ! or was it an overdue decor ?

As I was waiting for a friend, I decided to buy something in a nearby small, kinda old shop, as I look up in a far ceiling I noticed a small bell hanging quite unnoticed, a thought come across my mind, was it last year's christmas decor or would that be for this year's ? But there was no other decor around to add up if it was intended for the Christmas, given the fact that here in my country Christmas is celebrated the longest, but still I noticed that it has already quite dusty and all. Maybe everyone on that store doesnt bother to get it anyway. Do you guys left something hanging like that Christmas decor and because you are too busy, you notice that its another Christmas season will soon be coming over. Care to share ?

Before my granny passed away she would keep crocheted bells hanging up in her room. She said it was a reminder of what we have to be thankful for and the everytime she seen the bells it reminded her of Christmas time and the birth of Jesus.

I did sometime leave my decor for months, till I'm really so called free to remove it. But I won't leave it till next year or longer than that.

Well, outside our home there are already Christmas light and some Christmas decoration and we don't keep it after the occasions because it is hard to put it again every year so my father decided to put it there and never keep it even it is not already Christmas.. Sometimes, we usually open the Christmas light especially when my niece wants to see the different color of lights.. Some of the decoration also inside our house, we just let it there and we don't keep it.. Only the Christmas tree was kept after the occation but the other just let it be there..

I went into the park yesterday, and guess what, I saw some Christmas lights as well hanging on the Christmas tree, they were'nt unlighted only until Christmas season would come back once again. Have a great day !

Hi torch! That's funny because I found something from last Christmas too that was never put away when I was doing some cleaning a few weeks ago! I just put it aside since it wasn't a big deal to just kind of hold it until it was time again to take out the Christmas decorations. I guess the people in that store just missed taking it down and probably forgot it was even there and maybe no one else even noticed it. Did you mention it to anyone? At least you saw it! So that means that you are very observant!

I think they must have left it here from last year then!! I was cleaning behind my tv a few weeks ago (it's in the corner and difficult to get behind so i hadn't done it in a while!) and found a stuffed snowman that my mum sat on my tv last christmas, i have put it away now, but maybe i should have kept it out for christmas this year, some of the shops here are already starting to sell christmas goods!!! xxx

i dont do that for christams usually i take everything down for christmas. i do leave up halloween decorations though and maybe people who leave up the christmas decorations feel like i do with the halloween ones. i like to keep up some ( not all of them) decorations because i love the holiday so much and it is a small constant reminder of that holiday and how much i love the holiday.

The one thing I stick to is the twelve days of Christmas...Christams decorations go up 6 days before and come down before the 6th day after...that's how we are meant to do here in the UK...blessings littleowl

I'm pretty good about clearing out the decorations but I remember one year when I was married, I left our Christmas lights outside the house up till April and turned them on at least once a week! I love the lights, I'd like to have them all year round!

Yes, definitely. But mostly its the Christmas lights above the main door. Its wrapped around a leaf garland of some sort and have angels with the sign "welcome" hanging above it that it would seem that the angels were sitting on some sort of grass.LOL We dont turn the lights on though. Guess my Mom thought it would be tedious to carefully put it down just to bring it back up for the next Christmas, so its been there since last year. Im not sure but there just might be other Christmas decor lying around in the house that I dont notice anymore to be there since Im used to seeing them there.

Ha!ha!ha! I've seem houses like that. They are not anymore removing their Christmas decor and worst they are even gathering dusts. Ha!ha!ha! Well not me my dear, I always clean and keep all my Christmas decors neatly so they could be very well be used again for the next Christmas. So some 15 days from now... and I will start decorating for the much awaited Christmas season!

Hahahah - I think they forgot to take down that decoration! If it was a new one for this year, surely they would have had more than one? My Mum had a cute little Christmas tree a couple of years ago, with little crystal ornaments that lit up. She liked it so much she left it there after Christmas because it was pretty at night! I noticed the other day I still had a little silver reindeer hung on my candlestick from last year - but I'll leave it there now!

I've seen that here in Kuwait with my wife's friend who is also a Filipino woman and for the thing is she do not want to remove it in the place for she is telling by me and with my wife that she will just leave it but there is nothing wrong with it because the Christmas decor is one of the best decoration in the house......
