I would first and foremost pay off medical bills, or any debt that I have. Then I would put some away for "just in case", if there was a large enough amount.

I will probably save it, and if i have got debts, it's better to clear them 1st for the interest might increase ^_^ But if i'm free from any debts, i will definitely save it, because i dun wanna over spend.. Because over spending, can be an addiction.. haha ^_^ Plus, it's always better to have more money in the bank, than in our pockets, so that we wun spend unnecessarily ^_^

I have responded too 3 of your posts in a row now. You definitely have money on your mind this morning. I would use it to pay off any of my debts. I have done that the last couple of years. This year I am hoping to have most of it paid off before tax time gets here so that I can use the money towards getting a house. I want to buy a house by the end of next year but with the economy the way it is I am definitely a little worried.

My lesson learned from the last stimulus that I received, I would put some of it aside to pay taxes on it for the coming tax season. Whatever was left, I would use to pay on some bills. Since it would basically be found money, I would take a little of it to do something fun, maybe go out to dinner or buy myself a small treat. You did not mention how much the rebate would be, so I do not think that I would be able to accomplish much with it.

I I were to get a tax rebate now I would pay off some bills because I will be out of a job soon, so saving is out of the questions, the little I have saved now I might have to spend it to if I can't find another job. At my age and with the low percentage of jobs in this area it going to be a great challenge to find employment.

in your case that was indeed the right thing to do, pay off first...and you are truly correct that at this age in time, it was a challenge to find a good job... thanks for sharing! have a nice day! God bless!
