What do you prefer Eat with Hand or Eat with Spoon and Fork?

Ha ha, That was a good sense of humar. Thanks for replying to dis discussion. Most of western contry people have this habbit of always eating food with Spoons and forks. But I think in this Subcontinent of India,Srilanka,Bangaldesh,Nepal,Tibet and Pakistan are much more into eating with hand. Any ways thanks a lot for your reply to this discussion.

Good, First Thanks FOr replying. Ya Even I tried to use those Chopsticks usually for these chinees and Japanees food. But no luck, always i fail. I found its very hard to eat with chopstick so i dropped that plan. But As i told earlier we Indians are much confirtable with eating with Bare Hand. Because we will be knowing how clean our hand then those spoons or forks.

Im not an indian so i prefer using spoon and fork. Im half filipino chinese so another alternative for me is dining with chopsticks. You cant compare yourself to everyone or nationality since we have different preferences and styles.=)

Unhygenic, Good thought. So you think those spoons are more hygenic.? You will be knowing what are things you have done with your hand but you will not be know where that spoon was lating before you eat with it. A lot of people here in the Philippines use their hands to eat. I don't think it is unhygienic unless you're in the habit of not washing your hands. Filipinos are generally very neat people and we always... always wash our hands before and after eating, whether we eat with our hands or with spoon and fork.

Thats a very good habbit of washing hands before you eat. Doesnt matter you are eating with spoons or bare hands, one should always wash thier hands before they eat. thanks a lot for sharing your thoughts. I expect more such thoughts from you in future.

Good Subha, most of the Indians do the same. At home eat with Hands and in restaurants use spoons or chopsticks for chinees food. Even my family members do like that. I dont think eating with bare hands that UnHygenic if you wash your hand properly before eating isnt'it.? Anyways thanks for sharing your thoughts. Have a nice day.

Ya Sometimes, you have to switch to spoons and fork as you cant eat everything with hand. You can but still some occasions even i prefer spoons, just like you mentioned above. Yap, It is very hard i believe to eat noodles with hand isnt'it? Anyways thanks a lot sharing your experience.

I think not only you most of the people in subcontinent, use this method. Depends upon what food they are eating the eating method will change.

I always feel like eating roti or non or parata with spoon or fork is very tough. May be i have very less experience cutting those rotis or nons into pieces. Thats why i dont prefer Spoons for Roti and Paratas. I think you have good experience using Spoons and Fork for those rotis isnt'it..?

Even I failed lot of times. And when ever we friends go out for lunch or dinner, if noodles is ordered and if i use Chopstick, then it will be a good comedy show for others. I will do all those things one cant expect. Anyways i have try some trainings from those chineese or Japneese people to get into this ChopSticks.

That means you dont use Hands at all. Good, you are much concerned about hygenic right.? Anyways it is a good habbit. But my question is how people can trust those spoons and fork which are cleaned by others when they cant trust thier own hands..? Anyways diferent people will have diferent culture and opinion.
