What do you prefer Eat with Hand or Eat with Spoon and Fork?

Well this would depen on the situation as well as the food we are eating. Basically if I am eating in a public place then I eat with spoon and fork. At home,generally we use spoon and fork but there are cases, wherein we use our bare hands. In our country the Philippines, it is also normal on some cases to eat with the bare hands. Of course, proper hygeine should be followed prior to eating.

It depends. When my girlfriend makes chicken it is so hot that rather than waiting for it to cool down I'll break it up and eat it with a fork. Also, t our local K mart I'll have a hot pretzel and that is so hot I eat that with a fork. Usually when I do that it reminds me of the episode on Seinfeld where people start esting a candy bar with a fork.

Here in the Philippines, we use utensils when eating easy to cut foods. But when its hard like fish I prefer using my hand to take away the bones that can stuck to my throat. But there are times we really eat on hand... Literally! We enjoyed it especially when I'm eating with people I like to eat with. It's part of our culture I guess... But its not the way people eat, Its up to whom your eating with.

I would prefer to eat with utensils. I would not want to get that stuff all over my hands. Eating with utensils is alot easier and more hygenic too.

I know people in your country is used to eating with your hands as we had friends from your country who has visited our home and ate with their hands, but I prefer to eat with my knive and fork or spoon and I can never eat with my hands.

I use cutlery although I do use my hand with certain foods and I enjoy eating that way, I also like to share food with my family I love to watch my kids eat and see them really enjoy their food, they use cutlery..by the way.

I much prefer eating with chopsticks but if I had to choose between spoon & forks to eating with hands, I'd rather eat with spoon & forks... There are some food that just makes sense to eat with bare hands, like sandwiches, but most food I'd like to eat with utensiles

To eat by spoon and fork is otherwise a good habit form the point of view of health and cleanliness. Even the chop sticks are also of the same class. But we Indians use our hands and rather fingers for this purpose and we are so used to it that we don't get satisfaction when we use spoon and fork.

I however sometimes use spoon and fork - when my nails are extra grown and not clean.

I prefer to eat only with my hands. I am very comfortable and I feel at home.
Even when I went abroad to visit my sister in Canada, over there I used to eat with my hands. Before eating I used to say--'Sorry for being an Indian'
and start eating with my bare hands.
