Voice Ads On Main Page Now?  

I haven't had any of these but this is the second discussion of yours I've seen on the topic - I wonder why it's not happening to me?

I mean, not that I'm complaining or anything I just don't know why it's happening so much to some people

I don't get the voice ads, perhaps it is only in the US? A while back I did get involved in something called Pay Per Play and it was a noew form of advertising where you added a bit of code to your website and everytime someone opened your page they woudl get a 5 second sound byte advertising something. As far as I know they are still working on the system since I haven't heard anything more from them on what is happening.

As far as I know, they recruited a load of people to put the code onto their sites - too many for the amoun tof ads they had to run. The last I heard they had changed their focus and were trawling for more adverts. A big business this one and advertised as the next step in advertising.

If this is what mylot have on their site, they won't be taking it off anytime soon, it will be making them too much cash!

Oh well ... just mute the sound I guess.

That would annoy me big time. I keep signed in to mylot at all times. When I had to restore my computer the other day and had to sign back in to mylot I didn't hear any ads. I don't like those talking ads on any site, sometimes they come on all of a sudden and scare me.

"Kill the aaaddddssszzz, kill the aaaadddzzzzzz, the ads dear mylot" (sung to the tune of "kill the wabbit" from bugs bunny cartoon)

Yes, it's rather annoying to say the least.

I never get this ads when I sign in on mylot. I am glad I don't because I open this at work and I don't want my boss to be hearing such noise and I wouldn't like it either. I am just hiding from opening this here at work so I need to be quiet as possible.

I work with Firefox so I am not getting them as they are all blocked I also have an Add on called NoScript which is part of Fire Fox which blocks things like that so I do not have this Problem I do hope you can get rid as it would annoy me to

I haven't really noticed the ads. I have not been to Mylot much today though. I always keep my sound muted because that would drive me nuts. I hope Mylot gets rid of them too.

ah ha, I finally got a benefit to having no sound on this computer...Though when I get my other one back, I will definitely have to remember to mute it, because that is what I would do if I did hear something when I sign in..

I hate those things. I only get on the internet at my parent's house now, so the only people those ads annoy are me, and my parents if they can hear them. If I'm over at night or early in the morning I scramble to turn the blasted sound down! I hate those suckers. I thought they were gone, but nope, not so lucky. (the ads, not my parents)

I don't listen to ads, I just ignore them and work on the computer until the person comes on.

Yesterday the phone rang I answered it and it was a machine saying congratulations you won a Caribbean cruise. I hung up.
