I was eating strawberry earlier and was wondering how I could grow more strawberry . I have some of seeds, but what exactly should I do to make them grow? Or should I just plant a whole strawberry in the soil and see what happens then? And how long would it take for the seed to germinate .

hi pimagro I really dont think they will come true to form from seed, all the farm people I knew bought strawberry plants in the sporing, but you can start new plants from the runners on the strawberry plants, and a lot of plants are periannuls come to think about you make a strawbed then cover it in winter to keepit warmer, come spring the plants will push up and you will have new plants.

I don't know how long it takes for the seed to germinate since I've never done it this way, but I know you can plant the seed in pots, very lightly covered with soil. Keep them warm and moist until they sprout.

The seeds on a strawberry are like any other fruit or vegetable. There is a time and season to plant them. But yes you can grow straberries from the seeds that are on the strawberries. The best seeds saved from fruit ripened early in the summer but yes you can plant them. Have fun trying it. Whn you ever have a question or ever wonder about something give it a try.
