Has anyone ever had a search warrant done on their house?

Just curious how common it happens. I used to be a police officer, never worked in swat or anything lot that, not my particular interest, and really never gave it much thought until it happened to us. Apparantly, some idiot gave our address as his address, so they got a search warrant to look for him at our house(this was a state level warrant not local). They didn't toss the house, just looked around for him. I was surprised, I figured they'd have better intelligence on that kind of information. The more I thought about it, the more angry I got over it. Then talking to a friend of my daughters, she said they did that to her grandparents-looking for a meth lab. It really makes you stop and think about your civil rights and such. Like I said, just curious how prevalient this is. Thanks!!

They didn't have a search warrent but an officer was looking for someone in my apartment building and asked nicely if he would take a look in my apartment for the guy they were looking for. I didn't know the person they were looking for but I let them look in my place just so they knew he wasn't there. It happens. I feel better that they check.

This is really old. Gotta get it into action for ya sugar, so you make more money.
No, I have never had a search warrent done in my home. And I would not like what happened to you or your friend to happen to me. I would be outraged.
