I've not really thought about this, i can remember making scrap books when i was younger, if we had a day out or went to the cinema we would keep the ticket and put it in when we got home! I suppose nowadays it's all done online, with photos etc uploaded to a profile online - although to me that takes the fun out of it! xxx

You can use websites to make digital scrapbook layouts, but I have never done that. I prefer to pick out the cardstock, stickers, embellishments and so on, and do it all by hand. I also use some of my scrapbooks supply scraps to make greeting cards.

It has changed even more since I was a child. Not only did we cut up birthday and Christmas cards but every Friday when I got our pocket money, I would head off to the local shop and buy some scraps. There was beautiful scraps on glossy paper. Some were large angels with beautiful wings and these cost twopence each. Then there were small fairies which cost a halfpenny each. During the week, I would call to see my friends or they would call to me and we would take our scrapbooks and swap some of them. My grandchildren keep scrapbooks now but they are full of pop artists.

I got back into scrapbooking a little over 3 years ago, and it is great now. All the different papers, embellishments and tools. There are so many techniques to use. I now have a scrapbook for each year that me and my s/o have been together, 3 1/2 years, one for the dog, a few small ones. And I am counting the days til I'll be in Virginia Beach for a Scrapbook Weekend Retreat! 15 more days! This will be my second retreat this year, along with my oldest daughter. And I'll get to spend a week and half with her, scrapbooking and shopping. I have also taken orders for scrapbooks, it was great fun this summer.
