Nervous about answering a mylot interest discussion am I being too paranoid

I see a few discussions on the myLot interest "why I am not making enough," did you join mylot for money or friends, or I am trying to make so much a day, etc. that I am really nervous about any discussion started in the mylot interest group. In fact, I feel that sooner or later it will be deleted. So do you have the same concern as I do, would rather go to the other interests because at least there is a lesser chance of the post you replied to getting deleted?

I tend not to answer those discussions because i know they are against the rules! I don't really come here for the money though, i enjoy it and think it's good for me to have a place where i can vent my feelings so it;s not something that i am overly bothered about!! there are loads of discussions out there about earnings etc though! xxx

I do not like to answer those discussions, but they tend to come in the most popular discussions all the time, so it is as if they are tempting you to answer them and sometimes I cannot find anything else to respond to, that is something that I can do in length. But it is annoying as if someone wants you decide between making money on mylot or being friendly.

I have learned not to post or respond to those discussions that start discussions with milestones such as I finally reached so many posts. I also don't respond to discussions that start with recipes or carry links to other sites. I try to avoid any discussion that doesn't follow the guide lines. I do like the idea of making money here but also the chance to meet and learn from others all over the world.

GRANDPA BOB I don't understand why they would delete the up dates about your Dad. A lot of people are interested in him and how he is doing. Congrats for how high you have gotten. all you can do is let it go and move on.

Yeah the milestone ones get deleted all too often as they are a violation. I even had deletions for updates on my dads health. Too funny. I just let it go and moved pon. I avoid the celebratory discussions first and foremost. I waqnted to start one about me reaching 10,000 this morning as I was excited for this but alas. Have a great day/evening. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

The links for other sites like reference sites are all right. For instance if you want to know what is the best medical information site, I will give a link to Web Md, or if you want to know about Russia in the 19th century, I will give you a link to a site that explains about it. But if for instance you belonged to Ancestry.com, and your id name was arfgfg you should never enter your referral link. I do not mind recipes as long as it starts with an introduction and how it came about.

You are not being paranoied, you are being logical. We know that even nice discussions THANKING MyLot get deleted, so why feel comfortable posting in a possible complaint department? Yet it's free speech so it gets there, but the MyLot people have the freedom to take it away too. YUCK!! I woudln't post there. I'd rather post in other interests.

I usually post in other interests. But I am getting rather tired about the Obama McCain discussion in the politics all the time, and finding out some dirt on someone, but at least I do not have to worry about being deleted because someone complained about their star or asked me how much did I make, etc. It is just that for some reason there is nothing interesting right now except medical conditions and I am sick of answering what kind of toilet paper I like in two sentences.

There are tons of discussions I avoid as well. Never was as bad as it is now for possible deletions it seems. I avoid the money making group for this purpose. Bu8t a discussion doesn't always viloate the discussions yet gets deleted. SO it is a touchy area that I avoid. Other areas as well have problems but not like myLot does with deletions etc. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Only if a discussion is reported by a member does it get deleted. So they all don't get deleted it seems. Thanks also. I won't be starting one about my milestone anyhow. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Grandpa Bob I found out something rather disturbing, one mylotter claims she deletes any discussion that doesnt interest her, and I am going huh, say that again? I respond dont delete someone elses discussion simply because it doesnt interest you that is unfair to the rest of us who lose point when you do that. No wonder some discussions disappear that have not broken any rules, some numbskull simply deletes them because they do not interest her, should be some way for my lot admins to check for that kind of stuff. This is really unfair, wonder that mylot has not thought of that?

You can't delete a discussion except in your e mail notification. You can report it if it breaks the rules and myLot has to delete it if they see fit.

I honestly do not think that the myLot interest group has any more deleted discussions than any other group. If you do not follow the guidelines there is a chance it can be deleted in any discussion interest group. I think some of the discussion from the myLot group are deleted because they do not follow the guideline which is under the 'Donts' and says "Start discussions on individual issues you are having with myLot. Please contact myLot via private messages and your issue will be addressed."

whiteheather I found out something rather depressing, one user' says if she is not interested in a discussion she just deletes it and goes to another one, and I am going what, say that again:? I didnt know we could or should do such a thing, that in my eyes is wrong, you dont delete something simply because it doesnt interest you, am I not right? You dont do anything but go to the one that does interest you. why do away with a discussion that may have a lot of responses and cause those people to lose points because you were not interested in it? Maybe mylot should be informed about this?

It is absolutely NOT POSSIBLE for a myLot member to delete a discussion that can only be done by myLot admin. I think she meant she deleted it from her email notifications in other words she just skip making a response. I delete them from my email all the time but the discussion is still available for other on myLot to respond to. I have even requested myLot to delete a discussion that I opened and they did NOT delete it.

I never start a post that does not follow mylot guidelines, but if I get on a mylot interest, sooner or later, there is one person who will, and that means if I had my answer to the original post after this one boasted about her star, wages, etc. is there not a chance that my response will be deleted afterwards? I did read that post about the one who deletes subjects she is not interested in, and I wonder whether she is telling the whole truth. Maybe she is also reporting them and getting them deleted by mylot.

No i really don't have that problem suspenseful..I first joined because it paid, and then i began to meet friends and now i just like it because i have friends here that are very supportive & also the money is just an asset to me..I try to take life as it comes, and i try very hard to remain calm & not stress over anything ,reason being most things that stress us is the things we cannot control..If we can control things then we will but things that just happen will happen anyway so why worry? If something gets deleted ,which this has never happened to me yet,i just open another and keep on going..Thos is just a web-site that i truely like, however if something is deleted it will not affect my livihood,if you know what i mean..I always say why sweat the small stuff?

If we answer a post that later gets deleted we should still get credit for it..I don't know if we do but if we did our part by answering we should still get paid...but who knows..I think all the post that i have tried to answer has already been deleted before i have a chance to answer..that is if they were going to be deleted..

I am rather nervous about answering the discussions on mylot. I do not want my discussion or my response to be deleted, because even if I am careful, if the answer is something like how myLot figures out payment, and I forget to mention MacBeth and the cauldron (and therefore it deserves the ) and I get it right, it might be deleted. So when someone asks how can mylot afford to pay, well I clam up.

The only money ones I will answer are in the interests that are about earning money, credit, etc. but not in the mylot interest group. I did answer one of them and then the next day after a whole lot of mylotters answered, the original poster said, that she could not find her post and that it had been deleted and of course that was the day I had spent more than the usual two or three hours here. So you can see how I felt. I am more interested in the other interests.

discussions about earning bore me sometimes so I would avoid them but sometimes if there is no interesting discussion to respond and I can't come up with anything to start discussion with I would respond anyway so far I have only lost 2 - 3 points since mid summer so some of these discussions are still there I don't report these discussions even if I don't respond to them because some of them are created by new members that probably forgot TOS or they are looking for tips or help from members that have been here longer

I did reply to a discussion and someone violated the rules and the whole post was deleted. That happened a couple of times. I do not report any discussions even if I suspect they might as I do not want to be thought of as a nasty person. I hate discussions about how much or how little or something from someone who would go into leaps of joy if they found a farthing on the street (oh and they were not worth that much) Have they not something more interesting to talk about?

I think that is very possible. It depends on what you say. If you say something negative about Mylot.com, you have a good change of getting it deleted.

You do have to be careful. I guess you have to contact myLot directly. I was hoping for the money or being here for friends would contact mylot for that donation link or box on the earnings page. But I guess that is not negative, but the spirit I have about it is. I just do not like money or friends, or I got up to so many posts! aren't I wonderful?

Not all discussions in mylot interest is about making money,..I have started many that includes needing help where I have contacted mylot and got no response form them. Or, I have seen where other people will ask if anyone else is having a certain problem with mylot, like uploading photos or viewing pages..Which could be mylot or their computer..Mine for instance, the problems I have include my computer.

It seems that in the top discussions last week, there were a lot of the making money and money vs friends, or I got my star, or do they all hate me here because my star went from a 10 to a 9 (wait until it comes down to a one, then you will know that a whole lot of mylotters really hated you.) and all that. I do not see that many on the uploading photos and usually it is in another discussion when they are talking about their new house, some pretty flower, etc.

hi suspenseful I just get so sick of those discussions as the only way you can respond, unless you are really new,is to suggest ways to improve how much you make and there are so very many of these, I am suprised that some dont get deleted as they are all pretty much the same just posted by different mylotters. I always go to another interest as I have been here awhile and those dont interest me. I dont want to lose points and would rather answer a fresh discussion than the same old same old. lol lol lol lol.

I do not like those discussions. I will read the suggestions, but not post on them. Some of the suggestions I already do anyway and I would rather go to another interest that I can really get into. I mean I am more interested in that fight between the McCain and Obama supporters and writing and health issues than asking how much or why don't I on the mylot interest group. Yet the trouble is these discussions always appear on the popular interest site, and yet sooner or later one or more of them gets deleted and the ones who reply lose out.

Well, when I first joined myLot, my sole intention was to earn as much as I can, but then I realised that having my eyes set on money, won't help me get it. Instead, I should just have fun and money will surely come. And that is what is happening. Well, with the trend of earning money on the net on a high, people are just worried about earning than having fun. And it is mostly such kind of people who start such discussions I think they should change their attitude and they will know for sure that myLot is one place to be. bourne

I have never been the type who makes the choice between money or doing what you like and yet that is the attitude I find in a lot of things. Like being a writer (not published accept for a couple of articles yet and one of my stories entered into a contest) they assume that you should just write for free and not make any money because you love it and that is what I find in those questions, the assumption that if you come here for the money you have this sour look on your face and if you do not make the quota you go in a decline. While me I am wondering why can't I write more than four or five lines? Now I know that is because I read too many Readers Digest condensed books when I was young and listened to much to the "you can say what you want in few words," but really why did I just never learn?

I wish I could write more, but I think it is because I do not do that much ranting and raving. I do not like it when the others rant as I have to go through their whole posts to find out what they are talking about.

14 Oct 08
I think that the part about going into a decline is a bit wrong and cannot be applied to many people. As I said, when I first joined, I found that I made very less, and while it took others only around 300 posts to make their first payout, it took me 650 or so. I never stopped then. I was trying to understand myLot and now that I have understood it, I have more to get from it than just money. About your failing to write more than four to five lines, I think the reasons that you pointed our are pretty much valid for your case. bourne

i just answer whatever i want to answer if it gets deleted i probably won't even notice until i go back to check it. The whole point of me being on here is so i can waffle on plus things get deleted that aren't against the rules cos someone cried to admin so you never really know. I just take it all with a pinch of salt i'd rather respond have my say at the risk of it being deleted than not respond at all.

I usually avoid the mylot interest, but the others i will respond to. I do hate when someone reports a post because it is not their point of view. I never notice when a post gets deleted unless well my earnings are not as what I expected or they write that they could not find the post they deleted and if they did follow the guidelines, they wonder why.

That is what I think. I have an idea that the trolls write in to mylot and say, "I really hate it when people say nasty things to me because I am a ==why not make it illegal to use stupid" or " I have rac*oons, and is not the last part of the word also an insult to the blacks? So why not kill two birds in one stone?" etc.

Well, this does make a lot of sense here, and I know that is why there are discussions in here that I would never respond back too for Fear for this as well. I feel it is best to be SAFE than Sorry with some of these issues for sure. But then there might be other discussions in some interest discussions I do not answer because I feel I do not know enough about that topic to share enough information to make it worth posting on there as well.

And I went to the top discussions and guess what? Two of the discussions were about earnings. So what is to do? I alternate between top and my friends and even one of the earnings discussions was in my friends list. If it were advise as to how to not get kicked of or be reported such as "follow the guidelines," "do not insult others with extremely bad words," etc. then that discussion would be all right, but what I see are those about "no one loves me because my star went down," and the money one. It is getting ridiculous. And even if someone is crying to help, can't help them.

I feel the same way. I usually read the posts through and if they are on mylot and boast about whatever they have or ask why have I not, I do not respond to them. I mean that and the money vs friends, etc. and the ones with links with referrals, makes it wonder why they do not read the guidelines first and why even if they are beginners, why not read a few discussions on the mylot interest and then start writing? That is what I did.

I am rather curious about why they ask the questions about what mylot pays, if mylot will pay, why my star is, does everyone hate me, etc. as if they have no other subject coming up and that is all they think about. I mean I sometimes get discouraged about whether my discussions are quality and why I cannot of anything to say, but I just go to something else.

Hello, Suspenseful. I am not very active in here, so I can't say that I reply to any of those discussions. I just respond to any discussion that calls my attention, so I can earn some money. I'm not here all the time, I just spend a few minutes in here a day. Perhaps today I might spend some more time. I would advise you to stay away from discussions that will be deleted in the future, otherwise you'll be throwing your time away. Respectfully, Munhozmib.

Why I do not have any time to start many discussions and I find the other interests way more exciting unless it is a day when there are a lot of "what color is your hair?" type. It is really a different feeling when you have done something good and you really want to share it to everybody who help you achieving it. Until now it hasnt yet deleted and i hope it will not happen. The only thing that concerns me is the one who responded the discussion for it will be deleted too.

I usually never notice when I reach a posting milestone. The only time I noticed was when I found that I could copy and paste and I could back space and correct without the warning. Besides I love writing anyway, and I am writing a novel, so to me it is nothing. Mind you, if someone finds it hard to write (like have a broken arm or something) I guess they have a real reason to boast.
