You're right. After I reread the article I realized it was a mistake instead of an intentional diplomatic effort. It is kinda funny. Hopefully people will realize it was an error.

I have read it too. That's why it is ludicrous to think McCain would approach Russia soliciting funds, and after the tough stance he took against them when they invaded Georgia. It was a clerical error, nothing more.

U.S. citizens living in foreign countries can donate, but not foreign citizens.

I thought the same thing when I first heard that story. But I also think Obama takes cues of how to conduct his campaign from John McCain. If Obama is accused of something, the liberals find a way to accuse McCain of the same thing. If McCain has a soldier's bracelet, Obama has to claim one, too, etc., etc., ( He did have a soldier's bracelet, but I doubt he would have brought it up if McCain hadn't --he had been asked by the soldier's mother not to.)

Good point. 0bama wants to be the leader of the country, yet he plays follower to McCain's lead. Tells us what we want to know. McCain is the real leader.

I guess I shouldn't have registered as a republican in the last election. I've been getting calls from their automated system and emails asking for donations for the McCain campaign. I think this is a little much, I saw on the news that those calls are going out constantly over the entire U.S.

After what I've seen and read, I won't be voting for McCain. He really did me in when he (or the republican party) picked that dimwit for a running mate. I'll be voting for Obama, it would be a tragedy for all americans if she inherited the white house.

If anyone wants an example of Russia interfering by co-operation with a presidential candidate, they need to check into James Earl Carter, who in fact conspired with the USSR to try to defeat Reagan. Documented fact that was uncovered only a few years ago.

McCain's hands are clean on this as are the Republican party's. Democrats? That's another case.

I would not trust the Democrats. I mean they are just a smidgen to the right of socialism.
