I'm playing Favoritism here at myLot!

You are right Maam,I feel the same way.You are one of my favorite person here in mylot.I can say that i can relate most of the topics you are posting and you are also a sincere friend.Yes favoritism always applied on one's life.Good Day Maam!!!!!!

Well you are right to a certain extent-but you should also respond to others even though they are not your friends -like I do.

ANd I thought I am the only one I have at least 5 friends that are my favorite (of course you are very much included on the list mom) oh well we both answer from email right? and I would ope all tabs fro every discussion but I would answer first discussions from my top list. well i guess we just got more intimate with being just online buddies.

I am too, I feel bad when I can't make a response on a discussion started by friends, and I noticed that when I answer friend's discussion, specially my favorites (ha ha) my response is longer, somehow there is a familiarity on my tone and I am quite confident to blab

I also sometimes do so. i wont deny. few mylotters are so good in their wordings etc, it make me to answer them. many friends also start very nice discussions. so i look for their post

I guess it is just fair that we all play this game on mylot. You know, each one of us has our our friends, not just friends but special friends or maybe best friends. I so the same to my friends, and especially with the discussions my referrer, my BOF starts. Whenever I saw in my inbox her discussion, I started the day with giving my response to hers first, before going to my other friends discussions. By the way, I have much lesser time posting these days for I have less internet connection, so I make sure to finish reading and giving responses to my friends discussions through my inbox. I only read others' discussions and leave a response maybe, if I am already finished with my friends', and if there is still some time left with my office time.

In my case I seldom start my own thread at all. I love to respond to other's post though.

Hi salonga! Well, I try to answer as many of my friends
emails as I can. There are times when I will skip over
some because like you said the interests are not for me
and I can't contribute something of substance so I'd
rather just leave it to someone else. For instance it
the discussion has something to do with children or
gardening I probably would skip it because I have no
children and I don't know too much about gardening.
There are too many other people that know alot more
about those things than I do and would do alot better
responding to those discussions than I would. I don't
think I miss out on any of yours Salonga!

I think it is where one's motives/purpose of being at mylot that dictates his/her ways around mylot. I had joined to basically just share my opinions on topics of my interest and maybe join in on others where I feel I can contribute. As time passes, I seem to form a following with some and in turn have gained a friend, and the habit of reading and sharing with them turns mutually beneficial. It makes of a virtual friend as in reality it is what friendship is. Maybe I am old-fashioned and melodramatic, but if it is "favoritism" then I am guilty.

Hello, Salonga! You are absolutely right. Just like you, I can't help feeling that way, too. Most of the times, I read and respond to just a few within my list of friends. Maybe because the interest discussed has drawn my attention. I guess, this is just the same as knowing who your friends are. You can easily relate to the topics they started and responded.

Another thing, you said that you feel like reading and responding to those who did the same for you. Of course, we feel light-hearted to those person because you know that they appreciate you. Just like you, hahaha!

I don't think we can categorize that as favoritism... since we have friends here in mylot that we can really relate to... thus we tend to respond to their discussions more often...

I have friends here who do not start a lot of discussions and i get excited when they do... so i tend to prioritize them... over those who start like 10 to 15 in one day...
