Ladies, do you grill?

Or do you let the man of the house do it? My husband is the grill king around here. I won't even touch our grill. I remember the first time I went to use it, I was going to grill hot dogs for dinner. Well I had to call hubby at work to ask him something, he wasn't available, so I had to ask his boss. Well the boss just laughed his head off at me. My question was: Do I leave the gas on the whole time I'm cooking? To me it was a valid question, because I was afraid I would blow up the house if I left the gas on. I'm just too nervous to use the grill. So I leave that up to hubby. How about you? Are you master of the grill, or do you let hubby do all the work?

My husband does all the grilling. I find the grill kind of intimidating too. But even if I for some reason were crazy enough to want to grill, I don't think he'd let me anywhere near it. That grill is his baby. We bought it for him for fathers day 3 or 4 years ago.

My husband still laughs at me for having to ask his boss about the gas. He would let me use it, he's not over protective about it, besides he's hardly home so wouldn't notice, lol.

We're about 50/50 with the grill. Whoever calls dibs on the grill first or whoever makes the suggestion first. But no gas for this house, hubby would have a stroke if I even suggested we get a gas grill! Has to be charcoal along with any twigs in the yard that fell from the pear tree. Nothing beats that smokey fruit wood taste.

I agree charcoal does taste pretty good, but it gets expensive having to buy charcoal and lighter fluid that often. We grill all year round, at least once a week, that would cost us a pretty penny if all we did was charcoal.

Ordinary cooking is my job and no one else is allowed in my kitchen unless I am really ill. But the barbecue is my hubbys domain because he just does a brilliant job and he really enjoys it. I hate it so I am happy to let him get on with it, he certainly knows how to cook on one of those!

Would I be right in thinking that when you say grill you mean what I'd call a barbeque? If that's the case, then I do tend to let the men in the house do the cooking. They just seem to naturally gravitate towards it anyway, so I doubt I'd get a look in even if I wanted to! We cook on wood, so my job tends to be scrounging around trying to find pieces that will fit!

Hello there! we have no electric grill here and we use charcoal for that, well I can manage to do that and never bothered my hubby to do that fro me, in fact I prefer that I do it as he is messy at times.

Whenever the needs arise I does grilling but normally it's the guys who does all the hot stuffs. I prefer to do the preparation of the meat etc so it's 50/50. Preparations on me while the grilling on the guys. Grilling is fun especially when having BBQ party with friends
