Let's All Learn From This Man

I have been trolling through mylot politics for a few weeks now and have read many very heated conversations. I have also been a part of them. I have heard people complaining about losing their stars because others were giving them negatives on their remarks supposedly because they weren't voting for Obama. I hate to thwart that theory but I am for Obama and while I don't have a star yet, my ratings in politics has gone down as well. Aren't your ratings based on the same thing as stars? If that is the case, then it's not only the Obama supporters who can be vindictive by giving someone a bad rating but McCain supporters as well.

Let's face it. For some reason, in this campaign, if you stand up for your candidate you are put down and put down hard. I have tried not to be as mean as some others but I have to admit that when I am attacked, I attack back. I don't know if it's human nature or my nature but that's the way it is.

What I'm wondering, since I'm fairly new to mylot is whether the people who have gotten so upset at each other consider themselves "enemies" even after the election is over or will we all just agree to disagree? Is there someone on mylot who you have been really offended by (don't mention names, please) that you may or may not have a discussion with on anything ever again? Has this election cost you friends outside of mylot? Just curious as to how everyone is handling this election.
