I am THRILLED that when I wake up in the morning I will know who my next President will be!!! I don't know that I care which one it will be because I feel that if you're a politician, you're automatically a liar!!! So, I believe NOTHING coming out of either mouth. I used to work on Capitol Hill & have very little respect for ANY politician.
Now to the lighter side of the election, I found this pic funny. Hope you enjoy it too!!!
Are you as happy as I am that this is FINALLY OVER???

I do not trust any of them at all. I do know that I voted for the one that I trusted the most.
What did you do on Capital Hill? I bet it is not a thrilling as us lay people think it is. I bet it can be boring just like any job.
We just hear about the fabulous stuff that goes on on capital hill in the news and not the mundane day to day goings on. I bet the secretaries and other non-voted in people do most of the work.

I was the secretary to 3 assistants to a senator who passed away 5-6 years ago. Glamorous??? If you call working 10-12 hour days & a minimum of one weekend every month with NO overtime glamorous. It was the things I heard in the hallway that turned me off to politicians. The assistants negotiated with each other & then went back & told the senators how to vote. Causes that senators believed in suddenly became not important to repay debts made on previous negotiations. Lies told to the press to cover up what really happened. People given cushy jobs because they kept a good black book on the powers that be. Letters written by an assistant & given to a secretary to type then sign on a machine & sent out as a personal letter from the senators. Letters sent to personal friends written & signed by one particular secretary.
This was during the Nixon era. When his popularity dropped due to Vietnam, he had gone to Vietnam for a visit. Upon his return, all the Republican Senators employees were told they were going on a field trip. We were rounded up & put on buses. When we got to our destination we were at the White House. We were told where to stand along a fence. Then we were told to yell & cheer when the President's helicopter landed. Everybody was screaming as the chopper landed. Nixon came off the chopper smiling & waving back at the HUGE crowd who had come out to welcome him home. He walked down the fence shaking hands or speaking to everyone welcoming him home. On the way back to Capitol Hill, our handlers were laughing & joking about how that was going to be a GREAT news story. On the news that night the story was how throngs of supporters had rushed the White House to welcome home the President that they loved!!! His rating went up a little bit the next day. I was constantly hearing comments about how the shepherds knew exactly how to handle their sheep. I found it disgusting.

I am very happy that this is all finally coming to an end myself! I do not know who will win of course and all I really care about is that the appointment of a new President sparks a whole different attitude of positivity and hope worldwide! It has been uo and down throughout the entire campaign from both sides and I am grateful that I do not have to vote in this one! Maybe if it WAS a dance off it would be easier for many people to make a final decision? lol. I am looking forward to see the end result too.

A new President sparks a whole different attitude of positivity and hope countrywide too!!! The ONLY thing I know for sure is that no matter who goes in, we're taking a step forward!!! A new & better day is on its way!!!!!!

That's a great photoshop job, very funny! On a purely superficial level, isn't it nice to have a president who is young and handsome and articulate? I'm not sure I will like his policies but he's my president now and will have my support when he does well and my criticism and emails when he does something dumb or dangerous to the country. Yes, politicians are liars! Tell me, since you worked the Hill, why do people keep electing the same crooked liars? Are they really so stupid?!
On the other hand, I've been fed up with old men running our government and I finally got what I've been asking for. I hope he will be a good one.

Haha, yes I saw that picture, btw. I emailed it out two weeks ago to friends and family and posted it on some sites. It's a hoot!! I wonder if they have similar bodies.

Haha, they are all liars! But we have to pick the one who will be the best.
One good thing about our political system is, no matter who wins, not one can run willy-nilly through the White House and dictate anything to us, like before the American Revolution.
Both men are good Americans and both do want what they feel is best for the country. No president will make everyone happy, and that is a fact.
Either way, God Bless our country and let God allow the better man for our country to win, whether it be mine choice or not.

So, our option is to pick the BEST LIAR???
I pray before EVERY election that God bless us with the right person no matter how ANY of us look at it!!! Then I vote for the lesser of the evils!!!
