Well One Good Thing Is The Bleeding Has Stopped!

Even though that is because there is not enough blood left in the GOP to keep bleeding. Republicans seem to have lost a total of 55 House and 11 Senate(right now) seats in the last two elections. These are the worst Republican results in consecutive elections since the Depression-era elections of 1930 and 1932. Democrats hold all 22 New England seats, and all but three of 29 congressional seats in New York. The bright side is even though this election year was the worst year to be a Republican since 1974, John McCain still got 56 million votes at the tune of 46% even though he was not ever popular with his own party. With the Democrats controlling the House, the Senate, and the Presidency Republicans are basically out of the clear of blame. Not a good reason to lose but you must find the silver lining in everything. The GOP did deserve to lose the past two election, the only question will be did anyone learn anything from the loses. The GOP has only two choices from here on out; reset, or learn to love being in the minority. Resetting should not be that hard since there is not to many Republicans left. Of course staying as the minority would not be that hard either, just keep doing what you did the last eight years.

I agree that the GOP needs to reset. I feel pretty secure in saying I am speaking for a majority of Republicans when I say, we need to go back to our conservative views. What happened to the GOP is it got to liberal. You can not please every body. You must follow your true beliefs and morals. If the RNC doesn't get their act together, I will be switching to the Constitutional Party!

The only good thing is that those who voted all Democrats will realize their error, and vote in Republicans as senators when they come up for reelection. So what are the few Republicans do against such a majority? Who I feel sorry for are the couples who cannot afford to go overseas to adopt children because with the pro abortions laws that Obama will encourage and enforce, the supply of even hard to place children will diminish. I remember what happened here in Canada and do you realize that yuu the American citizens will pay for those abortions.

Honestly, the remaining Republicans would rather think of themselves as an elitist minority than appeal to the unwashed, mentally incompetant, public at large to become a majority.

Very true! The RNC has pretty much told conservative republicans that we need to just shut up and vote. This is the second election season that the Republicans have taken losses because the RNC thinks conservatives don't matter. John McCain was forced on the Republicans, and we were told "party uber alles". Well, aparently that didn't work.

The republicans have to get back to their conservative base in order to survive. I have not considered myself republican for many years simply because they lost sight of who they really are. They tried to be liberal light, and that is just like sitting on a fence. Either be one or the other.... that way everyone knows where you stand and what you stand for. At least then, in order to come to an agreement there is compromise, and things are run more or less down the middle, and everyone wins. As it is, lately I have not been able to tell the difference between the republicans and the democrats unless they were extreme right or left. I must say, I never thought it would be a republican that would give us a major push into socialism the way Bush did in that so called "rescue".

The beauty of it all that now the liberals can blame themselves when something goes wrong...but I don't think they will. They will continue to blame Bush. And if they continue to blame Bush what they are saying is that this cannot be fixed. If that is the case why did they vote for Obama who had all the answers.
