Hi Jill,
I'm lucky to know how to spell craft!!
That is a beautiful wreath. I wish I lived close so I could buy some of your stuff. Do you ever sell on Ebay?
All the lights up around the roof of our house are blue. I think blue has pretty much become a traditional color. I hope to see more of your work.xoxo

One time we put all blue lights and ornaments on our Christmas tree, we even got a flocked white tree so they would all show up real good. We only did that one time. I have seen some very pretty trees that are all one color that are not the traditional Christmas colors. We stick to the traditional colors now.

Yes, sometimes it is nice to be traditional...but every second Christmas or so, I like to "think outside of the box" and do something really different! I think it adds new oomph ... but must say, love your wreaths jillhill...and do love the different colors. Oh my, it is really not that far away is it! I don't shop, per se...I spend most of my time thinking about the gifts for each....and go to town with a planned list! Have been doing some shopping on line too! Cheers.

Hello jillhill. I must say that both wreath's are very nice I do however tend to stick to traditional colors. I am one who doesn't like change a lot so when I like something I tend to stick with it. But very nice work! Take care and God Bless!

How gorgeous. You know, I might not have considered a nontraditional wreath before I saw this. Now, I woudl totally consider one. It would be a great addition to holiday decorating.

I think it's really pretty. How many did you make for the craft fair? I don't see a thing wrong with making a project different than the ordinary color for any particular holiday. In fact, it widens the variety for any potential buyer. Sometimes change is good. Good luck next weekend with sales.

I love using blue and silver for Christmas. Your wreath is very pretty. How did you attach all the bulbs together like that? Good luck with your craft sale!

Hi. I bet this blue wreath sells right off the bat. There will be someone at the craft sale that is looking for that one unique item and this will be it! I do not make many Christmas crafts as I am not terribly talented in that area.
But one year, I made all my own wrapping paper. I spray-painted the brown wrapping paper you can buy on the huge rolls. I taped leaves from our trees randomly all over it. Then, I sprayed copper and silver (I didn't put both colors on the same sheets, but used copper for some of the wrap and silver for some of the wrap), let it dry, then removed the leaves. I then used color-matched thick ribbon (either copper or silver) to decorate the wrapped packages.

I love it! Very pretty and the nontraditional color makes it standout even more! I bought a Christmas decoration this weekend that the women didn't think would sell (actually, she said her family made fun of her because she made the Christmas tree red, rather than green. She did make the border around the tree green and she priced this handmade item for only $8) but the colors match my living room. I kept looking at it, thinking the price tag was wrong. I turned the tag over, expecting to see a $20 price, kept looking for another tag somewhere on the item. But $8 for a hand-stiched item.
I think non traditional decorations are "in" for the holidays. I've seen several that just grab your attention... like I'm sure your beautiful wreaths will do.
I don't stick to traditional decorations and I've found many stores and handmade crafters don't anymore either. Last year I sold several ornaments with lighthouses, the Grand Canyon, images of the red rocks of Sedona, sunrises, etc I was surprised when they sold as well as they did. People buy what they like and I think they'll love your wreaths!
Good luck at the show!!!
