|  Have you seen this movie yet, starring Jauquin Pheonix and Reese Witherspoon? It's the life story of the singer Johnny Cash. Hubby and I saw it for the first time last night. It was a very intersting story. It showed him as a boy, and some of the trials he went through, straight through till he became a star. His struggles with drug addiction and his love for June Carter, even though he was already married with children.
I really enjoyed this movie. There were parts of it that made me hang my head, such as the drug use and sleeping with younger girls while he was married, but that was the life he lived.
Over all I give this movie a thumbs up. If you haven't seen it yet, go and rent it. If you have seen it, what did you think of it?

| |  Yes, I saw it a while back. Apparently the guy in it Jauquin Pheonix wants to give up acting to persue a singing carreer. I don't know why he can not do both. The movie is pretty good though. I felt sorry for his wife she got a raw deal in the marriage that is for sure. He certainly did some shady things. But the movie was well done over all.

| | It is indeed a good movie. I've seen it a couple of times, a bit of a different "love story" in that you end up being sympathetic to a guy cheating on his wife.

| |  I have seen the film . It was great. I only knew a little of Johnny's story. I had to see Reese won the Oscar. It was a perfect role for her.What was a great plus is that both Reese and Joaquin did their own singing. The only song with the real Johnny and June is the one at the end during the end credits.Amazing.
