Right now, I am using Palmolive.. It is fine.. It is the Antibacterial kind. I have used Joy, the lemon kind which is my favorite.. And I have used Sunsations, Reevo and the Ajax detergent as well. What types have you used? How well does it work for you on your hands and dishes?

Hi there Cream. I think this varies from country to country depending on the products available. For example, palmolive never introduced a dish washing detergent in Romania, I haven't heard of Sunsations or Reevo, the only one i know from what you said in this topic is Ajax. My mom always buys Fairy or Pur Universal detergents. I should say that i had a very good Greek washing product bought this summer that was a lemon flavored type and it was very efficient.

Right now I'm using Dawn with bleach alternative dish washing liquid. I've used the Palmolive too, I usually switch between that and dawn. I don't like using the cheaper brands, because if you notice they don't get very sudsy, in the middle of washing dishes all the soap suds will be gone, with dawn, it stays sudsy all through the washing and it gets all the grease off your dishes, I don't know how it is on your hands, I never noticed really.

Palmolive works great. I have used it before. My personal preference is Dawn. I like the original Dawn, with the original scent. My mom always used Ivory liquid as we were growing up. But it doesn't seem to have the cleaning power against grease as Dawn and Palmolive do. In my dishwasher I use Sunlight. Mainly because it is really inexpensive, and because I love the smell. That lemony smell runs throughout the house whenever the dishwasher is running and ever since I first tried it I really like it. It seems to get the dishes clean too. Thanks for starting this discussion, and have a great day!

I buy Ajax because it's much cheaper than all the others and it works just as good but costs less. I use the antibacterial as well because of having a low immune system with having lupus. My pots and pans come out squeeky clean which is perfect in my eyes! The rest go into the dishwasher where the water gets hot enough to kill anything alive. lol

Again i just use the value brand one from the supermarket, it is very good, goes a long way and since I do wash loads of dishes and have loads of washing up each day it is a good one to use in my house. It is also good for my hands as some washing up liquids make my hands really dry and make me get flakely skin.

I like the joy... lemon flavor. It works very good in my plates, and also the fighting grease brand from walmart value products. They are really good and cheaper than other brand but it works good.

Hi cream! I like Palmolive too. I have used Ajax too which I really like alot. I like the pink grapefruit scented one. I also use Sunlight cucumber melon scented. That has the best smell and the soap is concentrated and lasts a very long time. I've had this bottle for weeks already. I think I like this one even more than Palmolive because it smells so good and does the job as well!

I use Dawn. The blue kind. The original scent. It doesn't make my hands as dry or itchy as some other types. So I try to only use this kind.

I usually use Palmolive. I won't use any of the dish detergents that have the antibacterial in it. I live in the country and have a septic system (as opposed to city sewage.) I was informed by the septic maintanence guy that if I kept using the antibacterials in soaps, etc, that it would kill off the good germs that make a septic system work. I had the system fail when I was on antibiotics for a month, so putting in antibacterials on a daily basis would be about the same. Believe me, it's too expensive to fix to go and mess it up lol. Also, in one of my nursing programs, they stressed that by us using the antibacterials in our soaps we are making those types of germs become resistant after a while, and then they become harder to eradicate. I like the reg. Palmolive, it works better with the harder country water we have here. It does a good job on the dishes, and it doesn't bother my hands too much.

I use ajax anti-bacterial dish soap, I can get a huge bottle for $2.00 at dollar general and it last forever. I hate dawn, it never seems to get off of the dishes and they taste like dawn and i have to rinse them 500 times.

I am not sure what we use, because my mom always buys it, but what we do use works very well on washing the dishes, better than the dishwasher, hehe.
