Somebody help me pick my jaw up off the floor!

I hope you really like your laundry detergent. I've found that even if you have to buy the soap bar that it's a lot cheaper than the commercial stuff. I made some from one of my soaps that didn't hold the scent, so had been put in the "orphan" box. Even drying my clothes in the dryer they still have that nice fresh clean scent I remember from childhood when we hung the clothes on the line.

I actually like it really well. It works as good as or better than the bought ones and doesn't seem to break my son out either.

A glass thermometer has the temps painted on the outside and the lye/water solution will eat it off. I use a stainless steel meat thermometer (probe type). Here's my basic recipe.
