Have you seen the price of fast food go up lately?

Without a waiter serving me at these prices, I’m thinking what am I paying for? The dollar menu is looking more delicious by the day. Burger, fries, drink, comma in my bill. I know that most people just pay and go but I’ve started to pick and choose stuff and I think it works better. What say you?

I know, you'd think the pizza they bake will make you fly higher and lift busses over your head, its a pie with dough and sauce for pete's sake. (No offense to those named pete)

This is one reason that I love Papa Murphy's. It's cheaper because they make your pizza and then you bring it home and bake it in the oven. It's cheaper than ordering pizza from delivery places and their pizza is SO good.

I had never heard of Papa Murphy's before but I see they are a large American chain. They do have premade at the grocery store but nothing made to order. An interesting concept as all the pizzas are delivered cooked around here, there is nothing like that in Canada. Are they delivered or do you have to pick them up.

Yes, i have noticed this... i work part time as a mystery shopper and i always pay for the food then just get it reimbursed... and i notice the two restaurants that i go to, to do the job had already increase their prices... whick i think is late because gas prices already went down... even the price of flour... seems to be on the downtrend...
I wonder when the situation will be the other way around... food prices going down instead of up...

I don't think they will go down as fast but they could drop, people don't want to pay high prices anymore if they don't have to. Just because gas has dropped for the time doesn't mean that people still have as much disposable income, fast food places would be smart to lower their prices and then announce it. They would get more business that way. Its called smart marketing.

I have always thought that the regular menu items were high priced. I mena, come on - the Six Dollar burger at Carl's Jr? $6 for a burger? That's nearly a meal at some places for around $10! ANd that doesn't include a drink or fries either! I have always done the Value/Dollar menu - or a coupon. I mean, for a buck you get just as much so why pay more? Buy 2 dmall burgers for less than the price of one big one. I like to get a small burger, small fries nad small drink - 3 bucks! Fills me for the day nearly! I don't eat fast food to often, due to the fat and calories, but it is my treat once a week - and it only costs $3!!

Ask me if I care! If they want me there more, they can lower their prices to accomodate me...if not, they can wallow in the broken soda fountain for all I care! I am so tired of paying high prices to begin with, I absolutely positutly refuse to pay a high price of their junk food!

Let's see, $3.00 x 52 = $156.00, oh you're not giving them enough money, they don't like customers like you.

yea i know what your saying. If I ever go to a BK or something where I have to pay for my food, not my parents, then i always get the cheapest thing. The small chickin crisp and the whopper jr are only a dollar each, and they are enough for a nice snack. If i'm hungry, then i'll get maybe 2 of those, but still only $2

Yeah a Happy Meal now cost almost $4 where i live at $3.64 and possibly going to be going up. If they want people to continue to eat out then prices can't go up much farther or less and less people will eat out and instead stay home. I no longer get my favorite while eating out, I now head for the cheaper $1 menu stuff like they have at Wendy's which very filling. Now days you gotta do what you gotta do to make ends meet. Prices at the stores are also sky rocketing and I am hoping that they will stay or lower and become more reasonable prices.

Yes, they are a lot. However I do buy from time to time because I don't have time to make lunch. Yes I realize it's a lot of money. I'm sure there are people that don't go to get food & buy groceries, etc. You are right that the prices are going up. I think because of the recession.

I think the price of everything in general is going up. I always get the same amount of housekeeping money out to get the groceries, and I used to have quite a lot left in my wallet for buying extras during the fortnight. These days, I don't have anything left - and often have to get more money out as well! Fast food has definitely increased in price.

Yeah, the dollar menus are becomming more popular. I had heard on the news about idk a few wks ago that McD's was thinking of raising the prices of their dollar menu. Then like a week later they announced their sales were up. So hopefully they're going to keep it. It's coming in handy w/this poor economy.

the worst part of it is there is no increase in earnings yet the prices of our needs is skyrocketing. I really hope that recession will be over and we get back to normal lives.

I did notice that it cost me nearly $40.00 to order two pizzas a couple of weeks ago. I don't remember it ever being that expensive. I will not do that again unless I have coupons. Ordering pizza used to be kind of reasonable. They were only 1 peperoni and one cheese pizza so it was not due to lots of toppings or anything.
I also got some chicken tonight and it was nearly $30.00 for the whole family. That is pretty pricey.

I have to admit I do not even know what a Big Mac costs anymore because I am strictly a $1 menu gal...have been for quite awhile. And it most likely is a good thing for my thighs anyhow...and my heart..In my big girl days I could do some damage LOL
A lot more fast food places have $1 menus to compete with MCDs. Which is good...I like the ones where you create your own value meal...Like I think it's Wendy's or Arby's...I barely go to them....
But I have noticed prices going up and up....that's also why I like the internet and cooking shows...a lot of them will give you recipes to recreate them...Like Mr. Food...I have a lot of his recipes from back in the day. My mom always copied restaurant food.

In the Philippines, fast food prices too go up from their normal price range. So I stop going to the fast food, aside from high prices, none of the food they served seems nutritious, the prices are not worthy anymore.
I eat to restaurants which offer salad, fresh fruits and vegetable menu, though some of these are quite expensive, the prices are worthy because they are nutritious anyway.
