found wallet

my daughter found a wallet on the street today. she gave it to me so i called the police, they want me to take it to them even after stating i do not drive what to do next?

Is there an address or name in the wallet? If so, look and see if you can find a phone number in the phone book for that person. That call them up and tell the situation.
As for the police....just repeat I do not drive, I can not come to you. Than ask thenm if there is another way. Good luck.

i have looked but i had no luck in finding any numbers. just id,ss card ,bank card, you name it but nothing so i can return it
