WHat do you think is the best toy for kids?  

I like the toys that make a child think. Like Legos or Lincoln Logs. I also like the stacking rings. They are colorful. I just got some of those for my grandson. There are too many toys nowadays that don't make the child think or do anything and they are noisy. I think a toy should help the child think and be creative as well as use their hands and feet.

When my daughter was a aby, I think the best toy she had was the musical toy that played "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star". She grew up hearing that song and I also sang it to her to go to sleep. Until now that she's 2 years old, she still asks me to sing it when she want to go to sleep. Talk about mind retention. LOL!

I pick toys based on what I think my kids will like, but also based on price. I don't really care too much whether or not it is durable. I know a lot of toys aren't, but my kids really want it anyways. If they want it that bad I'll get it for them regardless of how well it will hold up.

Mostly I just make sure it's safe. I won't buy them a lot of toys that have a lot of small pieces that the smaller kids can choke on.

My children all played for hours with mega bloks. They are excellent and they all seen to love building and creating things with them.

There is other block and building toys you could try also if you want a change for them. My children are bigger now and I am not to sure of the names but have a good look around in the bigger toy shops for them.

I haven't any child but i also bought some for my sisters son I think Animals Toys is very nice & cool for child because the Child Don't think anything wrong just think about animals Forest & like this nature stuff

Well, I love buying toys for my nieces. I usually buy them toys that i know that they will makes them happy. My 6 years old niece I usually buy her a toy like barbie dolls, salon, and utensils for kitchen since she love playing salon wherein she stylist the hair of her doll and cooking fake foods for her friends and dolls. I sometimes buy her some books like story books and problem solving like subtraction and addition. She love solving math problem and viewing some pictures in the story book. She knows already how to read but not too good but at least she knows how to read even a few sentence. Then my other niece which is 2 years old, I usually buy her some colorful and build up games like shapes and building blocks. Even she is 2 years old, she knows already how to identify the shapes and insert it in the ball or box.. Then she already know how to build blocks. Of course, i also buy her some toys that have sound like the usually baby toys and some books also with many colorful pictures and she really love looking at those pictures.

This coming Christmas, my gift for my 6 years old niece maybe is a scooter since she always asked it before and maybe I can afford already to buy her a scooter and for my 2 years old niece I will buy her a stuff toys of Jollibee since she is a big fan of Jollibee and buy her books that has a pictures of animals.

First and foremost my dear I believe we should assure that we are buying afe toys for young children and we can do this by making sure that they are:

* well-made (with no sharp parts or splinters and do not pinch)
* painted with nontoxic, lead-free paint
* shatter-proof
* easily cleaned

Be careful about toys made from China. They have always been notorious. Remember the melamine issue on milk and other food. Well with toys thy also do put a lot of lead which is not good for health.


So if you are buying building blocks toys make sure they are not from China. And you are very right in choosing this kind of toys because they are really educational. It helps in the mechanical and mental growth of children. I also like musical toys for children because it helps develop their musical inclination. I don't like toys that encourage violence. I'm just sad that my twins like guns.

when my kids were so young, i would buy them toys that are big coz of safety reasons...lego is great, it probes their creativity. i gave them lego when they were more than one year old. but now they have their own preference of what toys they would like us to give them...

In order to buy proper toys to kids we should consider more. That depends on what are features about the kids. Gun toy and tank would be better for an active boy who want to be a hero while books and pictures woule be good for a quiet boy. It's up to your kids.
