i dont buy chocolate for myself (boxes of chocolate anyways) all that often but every december 6th (nicklaus tag - its a german thing) i always get myself a box of after eight mints. i like them but only buy them at that time. are there any types of chocolates that you only buy at christmas? (my mom buys herself truffles only at christmas).

I personally think that after eight mints are far too good to save just for Christmas and I could happily munch on them all year round! I tend to buy chocolate brazils only at Christmas! Mum buys chocolate raisins and peanuts, thankfully not mixed, I hated spitting out the chocolate raisins, yuk! Sorry only joking, Wolfie doesn't really spit them out. But there's something deliciously yummy about mixing chocolate with nuts!

Not really but those after dinner mints were something my mom used to buy only on holidays and they were always on the dinner table with the coffee after the Thanksgiving and the Christmas meals. Me, I don't bother but I usually do buy salted cashews to put out at Chirstmas time and I don't seem to buy them throughout the rest of the year. Guess we all have our little traditions which I think is kinda nice.

Hi Cher, All year round my cupboard is pretty bare from chocolate and biscuits and goodies but I do buy a tin of Roses at Christmas time and get a good quality selection of choclate biscuits too. I personally don't eat them other than one particular one within the roses tin but it is good to be able to offer something nice to the family and other visitors wen they arrive. Huggles. Ellie :D
