Electric Cars would definitly be cheaper as a source of energy due to electricity
ability to travel via the Power Grid. I've heard the mpg would be alot better as well. There developing on the technology right now and the Hybrid I guess you could say is half way there being part electric and part gas. It takes a long time(years)to get things in full production. Oil probably plays the biggest part in making things more expensive overall. If it were out of the picture for the most part things should start to become more affordable.

Electric Cars, Fuel Cell powered ones, Hydrogen powered.. we mustn't give up on our efforts at any of these green autos. It is worth spending money on such cars. So also must be utility power generation turn green. It is worth investing more in aa hybrid car than going in for gas driven ones. The more we strain ourselves to buy the Hybrid and other green cars the more money can be sunk into such research.

Thats great and I agree with what your saying. Also though theres foreclosures and jobs are being cut and alot of people don't know if they will be employed tommorrow. Hybrid sales really went up when the gas prices really started to go up so its headed in the right direction somewhat. People are getting the picture about going green more and more so its definitly the future because earth can't afford it not to be.

I have a crazy idea - the downtrend in crude, and hence, gas prices are due to OPEC's fear that people are shifting to Electric and hybrid cars! Just kidding! But I wish that were true. I want Research in Green Autos and Green Power to be that aggressive however. OPEC raises crude prices to right up $120 a barrel and now are at $50/60 and are seen to plan their production. The oonly best answer to these can be voluntary but palnned eschewing of oil use in our daily lives. One just imagine the results of concerted action.

Yeah it is better alternative indeed from the ones that exist today that totally depends on oil. I guess there are alternatives on how we can better manage it like, water can become a good source of energy although it is still under study how it can really help but it is a promising technology that we should focus on especially that oil reserves are fast diminishing and soon it will not be available for us.
Let's hope that this alternatives would be available pretty soon as they would definitely make a cleaner environment and a better life.

i just wanna know that if we have electric cars and they have to be plugged in which will make electricity demands skyrocket wont that still be an issue against the environment?? probably not as much but its still using resources we dont have
but yeah i do think its a positive step and the next step for us
