How much money do you spend on your hair?

I go to my hair salon about 2-3x a year for partial weave and hair trim. Sometimes I really am lazy or do not want to go at all but I have to. If I could only do my hair by myself and save the money I would pay for it. It's just too expensive! My partial weave/highlights costs about $120 and the haircut is $50 + $25 blow dry + $10 tip. That to me is a lot of money. Maybe I should go to a different salon. I have a 12pm appointment today with my hair stylist but I'm thinking of going to a different salon next time. Do you spend just about the same money for your hair? What do you usually get done for your hair?

Wow! Now I know why I do my hair all at home.
Sometimes I dye my hair, but currently I'm not dying it since I'm growing it out for donation.
But I do my own haircuts to save money. When I did go in in the past, hair cuts didn't cost me more than $20. Usually it was about $10. But I never could describe what I wanted, so now I do my hair myself. I just get a vision in my head and that is what I want and then I just start cutting away until it's perfect.

I used to use a mirror and keep trying to perfect the haircut that way. But after awhile I found out that the mirror was holding me back. So now I cut it by feeling it with my hands and only looking in the mirror for doing the front parts. Then at the end I'll look with a mirror at the back as well to make sure it turned out how I think it did.
It takes me about 30 minutes or sometimes a bit more to cut my own hair, so it's definitely slower than going in somewhere. But I am usually much more satisfied with the result if I spend the time to do my hair on my own.
I'll be donating mine to Locks of Love shortly. I've done it twice in the past, my hair grows so quickly that if I don't have time to cut it for awhile I wind up with really long hair that can be donated.

I will have to say I do not pay over $20 dollars on my hair. I do not go to salons because I can not afford to go. The last time I went to a salon was over 3 years ago. I do my own hair which consist of washing, condition, blow drying and flat ironing it. I buy all of my products and I try to get the products that I can afford. Maybe one day I will be able to afford to go to the salon but as for now that is out of my budget.

To me that is alot of money to spend on hair. When I was younger I use to go to the salon all the time. Maybe when I get me a steady job I will start going to get my hair done again and my daughter's too.

I am cheap, lol. I usually get my hair trimmed about three times a year, for about $15 each. I color my hair myself about five times a year for about $8 each. So that would be a total of about $85. I don't go to an actual salon, just the regular Cost Cutters/SuperCuts. Sometimes, I wish I could go to a regular salon and have my hair professionally done and colored, but that just isn't in our budget right now.

i usually go rebond my hair nearly once a year and that would cost me about local dollar $180 + $30 (for cut and wash) and $60 for treatment.
i'd also spend about $5 every other month to get my bangs trimmed.
*hmm*
now i know where all my money has gone to.

I'm pretty cheap with my hair too. I don't get too much done just trimmed because I'm trying to grow it out. I don't usually let them wash it either because that costs a lot more money. I always tip 20% though at least when I like what they did to my hair.
