Adventurer and TV show host Bear Grylls injured his shoulder. Grylls was in Antarctica on an expedition for charity.Host going to UK for treatment, Discovery Channel say. I like this show. There are some things he does I find really incredible. When he has to eat something lets call it exotic, I do find I turn my head. Anybody watch and enjoy this show? http://www.cnn.com/2008/SHOWBIZ/TV/12/07/bear.grylls.injured/index.html

I have watched the show and I can appreciate his .. toughness. The ability to eat these odd food sources and not puke seems remarkable by itself. However, he is also able to face challenges of the wild like getting in freezing water and rubbing himself down with snow without flinching. (Much.) Anyway, not that I would want to do that to make a buck, but I appreciate his.. well, bravery or foolishness.

I have seen this show a few times and really liked it for a while. One day though I turned the show on and I noticed in very small print it said that some of the situations were staged. Once I saw that I really was not that interested in the show anymore. Not that I want him to have to really eat animals that have been sitting there or climb canyons or anything, but I feel that if he presents the show as he handles the obstacle's as they come then thats how it should be.

I have never watched the show. I don't normally get into shows like that though. It sounds like something my son would like to watch though. He has different tastes in shows than I do.
