I did a bad thing!  

I was supposed to be done with my shopping. I'm not exactly satisfied, but I really can't afford to do much else, and everyone in my family should be very pleased with their gifts, including my husband.

Well today I had to go to Payless to get my daughter a new pair of dance shoes, as her old ones have a hole in the toe. Well Payless has a buy one, get one half off sale. So I was thinking... I just got my oldest son a new pair of sneakers he'll be recieving at Christmas, all my other kids are good for shoes. I was browsing around and then I saw a nice pair of boots my husband could really use. Since he's starting a new position on Monday that will require him actually being outdoors making house calls, and right now all he has are business shoes.

I probably shouldn't have, because the boots were $40, but I bought them. I got the ballet shoes for $8 because they ended up being the half off since they were cheaper. Not too bad I guess, but my husband isn't even done shopping for me, and I only left him about $70 to do it this week, and who knows how much he'll have next week since I have to buy our Christmas dinner along with our regular groceries.

I'm slightly upset with myself for spending the money when I shouldn't have, but I know he needs them and he'll really appreciate them.

Do you ever feel bad when you spend more money than you should, even if it's not for yourself?
