I am basically a peace loving person and in my childhood I never fought with any one,and even was happy to see others win while playing. But now more responsiblities and more interactions has made it essential to me to stand up for my right and to assert myself,if I have to achieve what I want.If we are submissive and quiet, people tend to take advantage of us and this is something I do not like or allow. So I generally stay away from unnecessary clashes or differences and go about minding my business. But if any one try to take advantage of me or my loved ones,by unfair means, then I interfere and try to sort things out in a fair manner........

I avoid trouble & conflict which is not the same as avoiding confrontation. People describe me as confrontational because I always want things in the open and whatever hard feelings brought out in the open and cleared up.

It all depends on the type of confrontation really. I am not someone who will chase a fight just for the sake of it, but if it is regarding something I strongly believe in; or involves any injustices then I will jump in there feet first and go for it! I don't think there would be many people that would openly enjoy confrontations as a whole, but there are definitely situations where you can become quite motivated by them iof the cause is true to your heart.

I feel that same way as you because people are going to behave in whatever way they want ,and they usually don't listen to anyone unless they are in trouble. Only if a child is in danger, I will fight to defend him or her.

Right Mirita.Whichever tries to put our children in danger should be taught the proper lesson always.

I fear but I won't shun. I'll face it and get it over and done with quickly. Some confrontations are necessary and I hate people who avoid it. Avoiding it doesn't mean the problem does not exist. In this situation, I will invite it in the hope that the issue will be resolved faster.

Confrontations between some people should be met head long to sort it out.Especially between husband and wife.

I don't look for them, if i can avoid them, I will but if there's no escaping them i will face them and interestingly, i do enjoy the challenge of trying to hold your own in such situations.

I had enough confrontations with my ex to last me a lifetime my friend, one would say that I am fully experienced at confrontations and probably have a diploma but does that make me a better person for it? No, I don't think so, with my ex I had to fight my corner otherwise I would be railroaded and confrontations of the aggressive type were needed to stand up to them! Faced with the prospect of being controlled and walked over, confrontation was my only ally. Now I avoid it like the plague unless I am backed into a corner and Taureans don't like to be backed into a corner we come out fighting and low and behold the person who is on the receiving end!

As Will says I can understand what you you say Wolfie. Some confrontations push us back to the corner and make us bounce back in defense which can become very nasty.

What can I say? I'm Virgo and my logical side says that I'm right when I know that I'm right, and if I need to make my point clear I will confront the person but not to the point of putting my physical safety in danger, but if the physical safety of a person in need of a defense is asked for or required I will do my best to accommodate the needs of the situation. As for myself I tend to get walked on or pushed around but I am better learning to defend myself with the might of the written word, a tool that is mightier than the sword. So I shall write to cast out the wickedness that invades my realm. To the darkest corners of the universe I shall cast out all wickedness to be bound in black holes lost and forgotten never to be seen again. I too have an X and a few others that have lost favor and treasure in heaven.

I really hate conforntations. I'm really bad at them. This is not good since I'm a shift supervisor at work. Often I end up crying in the middle of the confrontation. I don't have problems with confrontations with customers... just employees.
