Have you heard of Code ADAM, brought on by murder victim Adam Walsh?  

Yes I do remember when Adam was missing and then his little body found, such a horrible thing and I do know about the Code Adam. I have been in stores before when there has been a Code Adam and my heart drops until it is told that the child was found. I have not heard about the killer admitting to doing this, just such a shame that he had to wait all this time. Too bad he didn't confess when he was not on death's bed so he could really face punishment. I just saw where you said he was in prison on his deathbed. Wonder why he was in prison?

Yes, I remember. That was so tragic, and I was so angry about this case. At the same time, Adam didn't die in vain. His father is devoting his life to catching fugitives. Adam Walsh will never be forgotten.

I do hope that the information gives the family some type of closure....some kind of hope to move on. I can't imagine having that hang over your head for all these years..always wondering...questioning....looking and any type of criminal as a possible suspect. I am glad they finally found out what happened to Adam though I am sure their pain is as great today as it was the day he turned missing. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Schulzie! That is so horrible! I had not yet heard the
ending of this horrific story! I did not know that John Walsh
had finally found out who had killed his son after all those
years. In fact, I did not know the actual story of Adam's
death. I knew he was kidnapped, but I never knew all the
details. It's strange because I have watched that show for
many years and have heard John Walsh speak many times of his
son and the reason for him doing the show and everything that
he has done so that no other child would end up as his son
did. That is so sad that he now has found out who did kill
his son after all these years. I don't know if that will make
things any easier on him even now after the horrific crime
that was committed against Adam.

Yes I seen it on the news tonight and they both looked like they have aged over night on this. I still feel for them. But what I don't get is why she waited to tell the police what Ottis Toole had told her? But then he recanted before so maybe she didn't believe him or if she did they had all the evidense. I don't know anymore I feel so bad for them. Your friend onlydia.

I know it fianally did bring them closure as Walsh said NEVER give up he didnt and now he has found out for sure who did it!
Als this man had confessed 2 times and then took it back. Glad he finally confessed.
I cried when I heard it It seems like the Walshes have been apart of the american family thru the show. And seemed to me that it will bring closure to alot of people that has followed thios story over all these years.

yeah i remember/heard of code adam.. i am so glad they have closure now i just wish the killer was alive so they could punish him.. but that boys death saved and vindicated a lot of other peoples lives.

I actually heard a real code adam last week. My mom was in surgery and I was sitting with my family in ICU waiting when we heard code adam. There was a code adam in the hospital icu step down unit. All I found out was a child was missing but they found him/her very quickly. The child never left the unit just in another room or something. Nurses were locking doors to the unit and the hallways. I think code adam is a great thing. I'm also glad that the Walsh family has some closure on Adam's death.

Even though I was born in 1988, I know about the Adam Walsh case, and CODE ADAM. I was in Toys R Us Christmas Eve 2004 when there was a Code Adam. I was with my mom getting a Christmas present for my nephew, and we heard "Code Adam" over the loudspeaker, and we were locked in the store for about six or seven minutes, until the child was found.

I think it's a great system because people who go around trying to abduct CHILDREN are nothing but sick, twisted, scumbags.

I am so happy that there is finally closure to the Adam Walsh case, even though it is devastating what happened to the poor kid. I hope the man who admitted to doing it goes to a place where he rots eternally. Murder is bad enough, but when you do it upon a child, wow.. you are nothing but a scumbag.

No I dont remember the case but I have seen code adam on store windows. I never knew what that meant. I figured it was some kind of shoplifting thing. That is cool I guess that they have this in place.
