coz u c there is no way in hell that a cd-rom drive can read a dvd usin any software
and there is no software developer in this world that can make it possible , its like

| |  there is no way you can play a DVD on a CD player and no software in the world can do this, because this is a matter of hardware =P the simple CD drive cannot read a DVD because it is a different format.
unfortunately, you have to get a DVD drive to play the DVD games...

| |  No way yaar it is not possible to run a dvd in a cd-rw. It is not possible by any snftware even, u can make dvd play only on dvd combo or dvd-rw.

if u do tht that would b like defyin the rules of physics
the DVD roms need a smaller laser to read them. but hte laser of the cd roms are not tht small
so so whn u play a dvd in a cd rom the laseer cannot read it
but u can ask a friend to copy the DVD"s in image files and then u can load them and play ur games!

as far as my knowledge is, i don't think so that you can run DVD disc on CD-RW drives... it's like charging the battery with super-high current than its needed... DVD is very big storage disc so CD drives cannot handle this type of secondary storage... even though CD-RW drives also, this won't work... i don't think so there's some software which allows you to work DVD with CD-RW drives... because CD-RW drives laser beam is pretty short... it's designed to read CD/CD-R/CD-RW discs only... DVD drives have a high laser beam so it can read both DVD and CD discs... so for sure DVD disc won't work on CD-RW drives... then computer also won't recognize this DVD disc also...
