Do your kids do Christmas Crafts at home?
We don't usually make a habit of doing a lot of crafts, but this year has been a little different.
A couple weeks ago we made strings of popcorn and cranberries just for fun. We hung the strings on a tree in our front lawn for the birds.
This past weekend we made paper snowflakes and hung them on the windows. The kids had a lot of fun with that.
Either tonight or tomorrow I want them to make chain garland out of construction paper, then they'll hang it around the dining room and living room.
We also made a gingerbread house.
We don't normally do these sorts of crafts, but it was fun to do. The kids enjoyed it, and it's important to do family activities like these.
What sorts of crafts or activities do you do?

I like the idea of strings of popcorn and cranberries for the birds. I remmber after a terrible hurricane some years ago, the whole Island was brown ans all the foliage had been destroyed we left out food for the birds as they were so hungry.
Yes, we loved to make decorations for the tree etc when they were young. I liked doing it to. I also like the idea of doing tings together as a family. It teaches the children so much about family loyalty and cooperation within a family and enjoying yourselves just as a family. Have a wonderful Christmas

We did a gingerbread house last year. This year we didn't have the money for one so we had to skip it. We didn't do any crafts this year. My daughter did a bunch in school. We did bake cookies together though. They are still a little young to get into crafts much so maybe next year we will do more.

I use to make tons of crafts with my kids for this time of year. I have been so busy, we haven't done anything. I did buy some ornaments for them to paint and then we put their picture in them.
I love the popcorn and cranberries idea to put it out for the birds.

The only thing we have done so far this year is make rice crispie cakes for the neighbours. Well the kids made them and their dad just supervised them and then they took them round to the neighbours who absolutely loved their homemade gifts! I think that I make take this idea further next christmas and make some biscuits and things for gifts might save some money then.
