How soon?

I take the tree and indoor decorations down the day after Christmas. I put them away this moring. We have a very little living room so it is great to get the tree down so we can actullly have our living space back! I wish we had a bigger house then it might stay up longer.

Normally decorations do not get taken down to January here but I think this year they'll probably be down by New Years because no one seems too interested in Christmas here so it will just be me doing all the work as usual. It's getting old and I'm used to it I guess so I'll just take everything down and pretend like everyone else, Christmas does not exist.

It's somewhat of a tradition in our family to take the tree down early on New Year's Eve. We usually have a big gathering of friends and family to bring in the New Year. We take down the tree, and put on a pot of polish sausage, cabbage, and potatoes for our annual New Year's Eve dinner.

I think we're going to take our decorations down in the next week. My parents usually take everything down in the beginning of January sometime.

I try to get the down around or before New Years Eve, because after that I don't really have time to remove them. Also, my dogs are playing with all the stuff, and I don't want them to break it.

If I remember correctly, our Christmas decor stayed for an extended time until the feast of the three kings, which I think is around January 7th. After that we remove all Christmas decors.
