Hurry Up!!

Do you know someone who does everything very slowly? I sent my husband out to pick up some videos from Blockbuster. 2 and a half hours later he still isn't back yet. It's only 15 minutes away from home. He'll probably come home saying Blockbuster didn't have what he was looking for, so he had to go to 3 other places before he found it, that's about what he usually does. He's never quick with anything he does, especially when I send him out for things. It would take him an hour to go to the store 2 blocks away and pick up milk! Do you know someone who takes a very long time to do things?

I do sometimes wonder what my own dearly beloved is up to when he pops out on an errand, but two and a half hours beats even his record! Mine tends to get delayed by meeting someone on the way and stopping for a 'quick' coffee. I still can't help worrying when a 10 minute job lasts an hour, but at least mobile phones reassure me that he can at least get in touch if there's a problem.

We don't own a mobile phone, and won't for a long time. They're rather expensive. He could use one for work, especially now that he's on the road a lot for his job. But like I said, they're expensive.

I read somewhere once that Portugal has the highest mobile phone ownership per head. Whether that is still the case I don't know, but they are certainly cheap here and it's common for people to carry two or more. It's a shame they wouldn't work in the US!

Hi kats! I wonder if that is a "man thing"! When I send my boyfriend out to get something at the store he does the same thing! It has gotten to the point that unless I just want to get rid of him for awhile I'm afraid to send him out because if I really need something right aways I know that I will be waiting for a few hours when the store is just a block away! Do you think that they just feel like they are out and "free" so they take advantage of it or something? I don't know! They just seem to get lost for some reason! Although, I kind of do the same thing when I go shopping. I can disappear for hours too!lol

The only time I've ever managed to disappear for hours is when I run into someone I can chat with. I can chat for hours on end, so if I run into someone I can talk to, I may never return home, lol.

my brother in law is so like that and in fact it would take him minutes before he understood what my sister was asking him to do and another more minutes to get ready and another more to do it and came back with nothing or most of the time with the wrong thing..

My ex boyfriend was like that, although surely for different reasons as he was also very untrustworthy. He would take an hour to run down to McD's to grab a quick breakfast. Now I really appreciate how quick my fiance gets things done compared to the ex. Sometimes I'll send him to go get something and think 'wow, I have at least half an hour before he's back', start doing something and he's back through the door in 10 minutes.

Not really. Have u sat him down to find out why he always does that? cos it's really bad, cos if he always does that, and something goes wrong some day, u'd probably think he's just being himself, and might probably find out too late.
