kids and chores  

Hey that is a great idea for the children to gain more momentum and also they gain a little more incentive to want to help you around the house. What more could you ask for?!
I have a five year old son that helps me with small things right now however he is not quite old enough to function where chores are concerned.
I applaud you for doing what works!

rest assure you are not a lone many kids don,t want to do what they need to do.some time you can make it a game to help then to clean like see who can clean there room the fastest and offer a gift after you check their rooms.make it interesting for them espeacially if they want to do things are go outside to play tell them they can,t do it unless there rooms are clean and you have to check it first.but don,t make a habit of giving them things they live there too and they have to clean where they live no m atter what.

That is such a good idea. It is always nice when you can find a good way of dealing with kids to get them to do something where it benifits you both. Good luck with it and I hope it really helps you out.

That sounds like a good idea. I don't know if that would work on my son or not. He is not too bad about helping around the house most of the time, but he has his days when he does not want to do anything too.
