If you have a choice, would you rather not have a cellphone? |
| |
| We all know that cellphones are more of a necessity nowadays rather than a luxury. Most, if not all, are so dependent in this small gadget that they can't live without it. But if I had a choice and if I could live my life conveniently without a cellphone, I would prefer not to have it. One, because I had been subjected to four robbery incidents because of it. And here in my country, many have already lost their lives because of it (though many lives were also saved because of it). Two, I miss writing letters. What about you? Can't you live without a cellphone? | | | | | |

| | hello theredquill! If I still have a choice, I would still choose to have a cellphone. Cellphone is very helpful to us. Although I agree with you that many have lost their lives because of cellphones, it still depends upon the person. I use my cellphone for business only and for some important matter. So I don't think my life would be easier again without cellphone. | | | | | | |

| | Yes, I agree that cellphones, like the newest technologies out there, have made life more convenient especially for business people like you. But I guess for me, I've had it when my life was threatened four times because of it. Different strokes for different folks, I guess. Cheers! | | | |

| | That's sweet of you aisaellis. Thanks. I am an extremely cautious person and you cannot see me texting or even holding my cellphone in public. But I still got robbed. Maybe it's what they call fate or whatever. LOL. | | | |

| | I couldn't agree more. After losing four phones in separate incidents, I now have a Nokia 3310, just so some people can contact me in case of emergencies. Like you, I feel the detachment from that gadget is a great relief. | | | |

| | I cannot imagine my life without a cellphone.I feel handicapped without it.If I do have a choice I will still have a cellphone. It is the only way I can stay in touch with all my school friends and also my parents as I have to stay away from home because my college is in another city. So,going without a cellphone for even a day will surely drive me mad.I really cannot afford to not have it.:) | | | | | | |

| | For some, a cellphone is one of life's essentials and I totally understand that. But my negative attitude toward it stems from the terrible experiences I've had with it. | | | |

| | Hello there, it always depends from person to person and personal experience. Bascially, i would prefer to have a mobile phone always with me, the reason is, this particular gadget keeps me connected with my friends abroad, with my family when am out of home, and its now a days mobile even keep me relaxed via its music players and i can take picture of particular events that i have witnessed. If no mobile, i ll have to carry a player to listen to music and a camera to take pictures, and to communication i ll have to look for another option. So what do you think about that?? | | | | | | |

| | You have a good point, my friend. And I guess it all boils down to how much value one places on one particular gadget. I agree 100% that cellphones are really helpful and it's one of the best inventions of this century. In may case, though, I don't put much importance to it now unlike before, and you now why. | | | |

| | I like cellphones. I would not choose a life without a cellphone. That is because firstly I am addicted to it, and secondly, I feel it's extreme necessity. But there is one thing I would like to avoid. The cell phone radiation. This electromagnetic radiation can kill thousands, and render more people sick. It can cause deadly tumors, and thus I want the new generation cell phones to reduce this risk. | | | | | | |

| | I hate it when those irritating service messages come when I'm enjoying a quiet walk with my girlfriend. My mood goes off when I go out with my girlfriend and my dad calls and asks where I'm. But I love my cell phone to contact her whenever I miss her. I love my cell phone when her network is not available and I can text her so that it gets delivered as soon as she is in network telling her I'm worried. Ya the robbery things go on around in my areas too but it only teaches me to take care of my things... As an answer to your question, I would say, I like my cell phone and I cant live without it but I wish I could switch it off without hurting anyone's feelings... Happy new year buddy... | | | | | | |

| | I don't think I could live without my phone becasue I use it everyday. For texting/phoneing friends and its a really good way of keeping in touch. I have not been robbed of mine before and I hope it doesn't happen but I suppose it could happen to any of our gadgets. | | | | | | |

| | You have a good point there. It's just that in my case, it's cellphones. But I would rather lose my cellphone rather than my digicam and laptop---two things I can't do without. | | | |

| | I don't think I could live without my phone becasue I use it everyday. For texting/phoneing friends. Its a really good way of keeping in touch plus I think its much easier and quicker than writing a letter. Although you could use e-mail. So I think it is quite an important part in a lot of peoples lives | | | | | | |
