Yes, it is true.
Adolf Merckle, German billionaire, lost almost 1/2 billion euros speculating in the stock of VW. Additionally, his companies are losing money. So, he killed himself? Talk about having your prioities out of kilter!

That is just crazy. He didnt have another half of a billion that he could live off of. That is just nuts. Maybe he was crazy already. Who knows why people do what they do? Maybe he was caught up in something else that was bad.

It is difficult for we common folks to understand something like this. I would hope that if I was a former billionaire down to my last million or 2, I would not kill myself. I guess money can warp a person's mind.
