Ok... Time to tell me the truth .... I want to know when you get a serious case of the munchies what do you reach for? Is it salty or is it sweet? Do you want chocolate, cheesecake, pastry, candy, or chips, French fries, pretzels, Cheezies.... Or you gonna go all out and pig out, on a poutine, or a bucket of chicken wings, or three cheese pizzas?
I want to you to reveal to me what you reach for when you want to pig out or have a serious attack of the munchies?
Happy Mylotting!

Hmmm,it depends on where the munchies come from, I don't think we're empowered to discuss such topics here
Usually I try to eat something more or less healthy and light, like yougurt or cereal but... I said TRY and usually I end up with a hearty slice of chocolate cake or ice cream
I don't like eating really heavy food, though,I'll most probably regret it anyway.

well.... As you have pointed out, there are munchies and there are MUNCHIES!
and so what ever floats a person's boat I say go for it.
And, on a side note there are some of us who can be empowered as you say to talk about such issues. I am one of them. I have a gov't exemption. Now for the record, I hate the stuff, and want to get rid of it, I have been waiting for a type of pain pump for over four years, and this was supposed to be a steppings tone to get to that pump! And here I am four years later!!!
I want to work and could work if they would give me the surgery I have been approved for. So much for free Health Care in Canada... and that is a whole other story I dare not get into...

Oh,I see
You should've said there are Munchies and POWER MUNCHIES because in the latter case nobody cares about nutritional value

Wow. You just made me really hungry and it is only 8:00 am here. I love ice cream. I also love candy bars, like Three Musketeers or Milky Ways. Sometimes I will crave salt and then I head for the Cheetos or Fritos. Hmmm that rhymes, lol. If I'm hungry for fast food, it is Taco Bell, where I pig out the most. I love their food.

When I've got the munchies I want something more filling than anything. Sometimes though, crunchy things like chips satisfy my craving and sometimes it's sweet stuff, especially chocolate that does it. However, when I want something filling a nice sandwich usually does the job.

Unfortuantely, I'm not picky. Usually though I do fall into a salty or sweet mood. Or sometimes it's a salty then sweet mood....or a sweet then salty moood. Hey you want to go and read my post on the weight loss board, lol. Ok, my biggest downfalls are potato chips and dip(on the salty side) and chocolate on the sweet side. Ok I'm going to go walk on the treadmill now, just talking about this stuff made me feel guilty :)

I have a savoury tooth, which I guess is the opposite of the sweet tooth, so whenever I have the munchies I always go for something savoury, and my weakness is nuts, preferably cashews (salted variety) or brazils. I could sit and eat and eat and eat them! Especially when I am watching a dvd I will sit in my bedroom with the lights out and a tub or packet of nuts and by the time the film has finished so has the tub or packet.

If I really have the munchies and don't feel like making anything, I might just eat a bowl of cereal. This is if I have no snacks like chips, cheese doodle, or goodies available. You never know how much you might be eating with the munchies.

I learned a long time ago that females at different ages have different ways to get balanced. Munchies for girls, weep for mid-aged and gossip for the elderly. They are said to be natural biological means to get relieved, and should not be stopped for physical and mental health.
So take whatever pleases you, but never too much, to prevent possible overburdens to your health.

well ill be honest im a pot head and have been for many years. that said i get the munchies all the time. the all time favorite thing to eat is an abba zabba. i dont know if you can call it a candy bar i think its more like toffee or something. well i stick one of those in the microwave four about ten seconds till it gets a little soft then i eat it for like ten minutes. I like things that last a while.

Hi!
I always eat an apple first. They are filling and accompanied with a glass of water, it stops me from feeling hungry. If I do find that I am hungry shortly thereafter, I go and brush my teeth. There is nothing so unpleasant as eating with the taste of toothpaste in your mouth, so it stops me from reaching for something high in calories.
