Never have so many worked so hard to prove how incompetent they can be.

Gee, this is a tough one to know how to respond to. I guess it depends on who in the press you're referring to since there certainly are those who are very incompetent just as there is in every field. I guess I have to say those who are SUPPOSED to simply report the news in an objective manner and actually do so are competent but there aren't very many like that today, are they? Also, those whose purpose it is to promote a certain agenda, whether it be on the left or the right, are also quite competent, especially if they succeed in making those who agree with them believe the "other side" is incompetent. You have to look at the job of the press. It is to inform the general public of the facts of a story. Since the modern press is apparently incapable of doing that, they are incompetent. I'm sure there are a lot of honest, hard working working in the press today. However, the proof is in the pudding, and there is no honesty, ethics, professionalism or honesty in the finished product. The honest and ethical need to either stand up for their profession or embrace the corruption. When we have to find out the facts from bloggers living in the area of a major story, the press no longer has a purpose.

When two of the most respected people in TV journalism admit that "we don't know much about Barack Obama AFTER the election, then there is no longer a reason to listen to them at all.

Incompetent? I disagrea. They did their job EXACTLY as they were supposed to and did it well. Look at the election results. I'd say mission acomplished.

True, but that isn't their job. It doesn't matter how good a killer a doctor is, even if he killing is his goal, it still means he's an incompetent doctor.

Yes by supporting one man they showed how much bias they had and I was told whenever I watched a movie or a tv show that I got upset because the heroine should not go down in the basement or someone was bleeding on the sidewalk, "stop that A- it is only a movie!" I guess the press cannot separate fantasy from reality.

They have all become actors and nothing more. Welcome to Hollywood. I do not even watch the news that much anymore - it's all so pathetic. My niece works for a very popular and well known Entertainment News TV Show and basically, I think every other "News" station should be considered "Entertainment News" from now on as well. The people who actually buy that crap are the ones who annoy me the most. The ones who relay it to me as if it's all truth and fact and like I'm supposed to eat it all up as such. My TV has been turned off for the past week because I do not want to watch another TV show or News Channel or Commerical about Obama. When he was running for President, they really weren't kidding about him being all "celebrity" and no substance. Never in my life have I seen a President-elect or any other politician on TV so much before he enters the White House as I have seen with our new "star" President. Not even Ronald Reagan and he WAS an actor. Not even my Governor Arnold and he IS an actor. I wonder if Obama will be up for an Oscar? I wouldn't be surprised, I mean.. he is doing a fine job of ACTING, now isn't he?

Are you shocked? They have proven how bias they are. HOw they will twist things to suit their goals and agendas. It's not news anymore. It's propaganda. They do not just "report" the news anymore. THey make the news. The questions is what to do about it.

Stating a fact isn't a sign of shock. In this case it's a personal shot against every journalist who purposely acted incompetently, and those who didn't, but allowed themselves to be part of such a slimey sewer of sludge.
