The Final Days of President George W. Bush - How do you feel about it?  

I for one am glad that Preisednt Bush is going away, back to Texas where he came from, he has really messed this county up, and no Preisednt Obams has to clean up the mess he done made, and I don't think it is fair, the way Bush has done this country, and now Bush want people to say nice things about him, I won't say anthing nasty about him, but I have nothing to say about BUSH.

Like all Presidents, he did some good things and bad. I don't put all the blame of government squarely on any President. The Congress has to take their share of it. Unfortunately, we can't get rid of them as easily as we can the President. Eight years is enough time for any President.

Is Obama here to clean up his messes or create some of his own? People talk like Obama has done something to give them hope. In reality he hasn't done a thing yet. He hasn't even served one day as President.

Bush was like a baseball player that hit .300 for awhile and had the backing of the fans. But then he started to slide and only hit .158 the rest of his career and the fans started to pick him apart. Personally I never liked Bush to begin with and was equally disgusted by Democrats. I hold both accountable for the financial crisis and don't lay it all on Bush. The financial crisis was something that was going to happen sooner or later in this country. You can't borrow money like we do in this country and not expect something to give.

What a loaded question...how do I feel! I feel a sense of relief like I've never felt before when it comes to politics or who's in the White House. I feel that after eight long years of corruption and deceit we're going to have an Administration that doesn't consider the Constitution to be a "GD piece of paper" or half the people they're supposed to be working for to be somehow "Un-American" because they dare to disagree with their policies.

On election night when I saw our new First and Second Families on that stage in Chicago it brought tears to my eyes. Here are two families whose members didn't come from massive wealth, people I can truly relate to, people who not only care about "kitchen table issues" but have actually HAD or have a kitchen table! I say that because several years ago I was listening to Rush Limbaugh and he was joking about the phrase "kitchen table issues" and saying he didn't have a kitchen table, they and most of the people he knew ate in the "formal dining room" and the kitchen was just a place where the staff prepared their meals.

Your question was how do you FEEL, so that's what I'm focusing on - FEELINGS. I think Obama has good ideas for our country and for our domestic and foreign policies but that's not all that factors into what will happen in the future. HOPE and CHANGE, for all that the right has made fun of those words, really mean something to the people of this great nation. McCain adviser and former Senator Phil Gramm spoke of a "mental recession" and although I rather resented those words and think he was off the mark since the economic problems we've been having is far from being just "mental", I still realize the psychological effect of feeling hopeful and optimistic that things are going to change can actually be a bit of an economic stimulus in itself.

I feel confident Obama and his Administration will make mistakes and they will do things of which some of us will disapprove but I'm also confident that when these mistakes are made there will be no denial that they ever happened. No more bogus claims of WMD's, no more premature "Mission Accomplished" banners, no more "Heckuva job, Brownie" statements. I guess in summation I can say I FEEL pretty darn good about it!

I am critical of this recent outbreak of events in the Middle East. It seems like the Bush cabinet is (along with our ally in the East, Israel) are trying to make sure our newly elected president will have a lot of Bush's mess to clean up. the economic crisis, Iraq,and Afghanistan are also going to be carried over to Obama's term of office. I am glad to see Bush finally out of office but he will have a lasting effect on our government in the near future, at the least.

I know he must be happy he is going to retire his seat as president and move on to a higher tax bracket!! With all the oil profits his daddy earned due to this bogus war on terror, he should be set for life!

The best thing about this inaugeration is the inherent progress in the new election result. Our nation has come very far. At this point any change of president is good, considering the infrastructure situation, the national deficit, and general neglect of managing all his responsibilities.
Mr. Bush has definitely tarnished our reputation abroad, but surely he is largely a scapegoat for the unseen politicians that have been in high level politics for 2, 3, or even 4 presidents.
At the end of the day, it feels good to have a new team of leaders to tackle our problems, after all, we've never had a "geek" for a president, I think that's cool...

First of all, who the hell cares what that muslim journalist thinks? If Saddam had been alive, he would have been put feet first into a wood chipper. The new president always takes over on that date-you'd think this was the first time there was ever a new president that took over. Please! All presidents we have had have made mistakes. Especially Bill Clinton, ugh! Talk about an embarrassment! Of course, democrats don't want to talk about that.

This is historical. America has a black president and its people love him so much. The world watches as he create a book of new beginnings for the Americans.

W. Bush love the warfare. I do not know what grants he got from it. The world is now celebrating its true sense of freedom because of the downfall of a man who loves war. I knew it. Peace is the real conqueror.

Congratulations to the Americans for you have just made the new path for Peace and Love.
