Going to an MLK, Jr. Celebration in my local area. I go to the celebration every year. I go every year unless I'm really ill. As Tuesday is a big day for America with Obama's inauguration and what not, I'm totally in the celebratory mood. I sure MLK is smiling down from Heaven! What are you doing to celebrate tomorrow? Happy Martin Luther King, Jr. Day!

They usually do a walk, and this year where I could do something like that, I have no transportation to do it with. That just ticks ya off but such is life. Next year, I would like to participate in the Breakfast, Walk and perhaps do something go for someone else. That is just a plan. I am a type of person where with me getting older, I think about whether or not my life is doing something significant. Am I leaving a mark on this earth, am I just here or making a difference.

I do not know of any celebrations in my area. I wish I did. It would be to celebrate his birthday and then the inauguration on Tuesday. I love the way that they are a day apart. I had a real good time celebrating the election.

I think it is a wonderful thing that such a thing still occurs regularly. King was such an honorable figure to the African Americans and his legacy should live on.
I am a 40 year old white woman and I was only two months old when he was struck down in the prime of his life. 1968 was a memorable year that is for sure.
Times are changing and America will hopefully continue to move forward in the race against ignorance against all ethnicity and the like. I put in a friend request. I hope that you will accept it.
By the way I also commend you for being such a strong lady. I see that you have also attended the rights for the handicapped marches. You are brave people.
