Try a teaspoon of honey mixed with a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar. Take it hot if that sounds better.

Maybe try steam bath to help loosen things up. boil water and cover your head with a towel and cover it over the steam and breath in deeply. Also lemon juice and honey mixed together and added to boiling water helps some people. My sister can't take cough syrup and she like herbal teas. Hope you feel better soon.

Having a cough that won't go away is annoying I know. Maybe you could try some honey and lemon. Or maybe some hot tea? I don't know for sure. Hope you get some relief.

I have always used honey and lemon juice and now a lot of the losenges out there today are using the same remedy. You may also want to use a congestion breaker if the cough is in the chest.

what are you allergic to? have you tried drinking hot tea with honey? i think that may help. what about trying a natural cough remedy? you should check at a health food store.

I have made up a concoction of lemon juice, honey and hot water with a dash of cayenne.
This seems to work great.
Experiment with measurements so to get the taste that suits you.
Sometimes just taking a teaspoon of honey helps. Let it run down your throat if you can.
Buckleys cough syrup works really good. tastes terrible though.
