Are you planning to grow your own vegetables this year?  

Well, we probably won't plant vegetables as I'm not very good at taking care of any living thing but my kids but we do plan on planting pumpkins this spring and giving some of them away to our daughter's friends and our family. I think it will be a good expierence for my girls to see them grow into giant pumpkins from just a little seed. As far as chili's, we don't eat any kind of peppers so I will stay far away from them! I may try my hand at some corn though...Hmmm...

I can kill a plant in no time flat

That and I'm allergic to outside so I try to avoid going out there.

I hope to have a own home and lot and grow vegetables in the backyard. I always wanted that kind of life. Simple but helpful life and healthy environment.

yes,i plan to grow garlic and green onion.they are plants easy to take care of and don't take much space.my family likes putting some garlic clove or onion into dishes when cooking.it makes our food smell good.

I'll probably just plant my usual: tomatoes, cucumbers, beans and potatoes, along with the raspberries, strawberries, garlic and chives thaat come up every year. It will be interesting to see what the squirrels plant this year. Last year it was pumpkins in the front yard and a sunflower in the backyard. And they didn't even share!

My husband and I would love to be able to grow our own vegetables, but we live in an apartment right in the middle of town. We also live in the basement, so we can't even grow a garden outside of our window, or on a balcony. If we had a house, we would definitely grow our own vegetables.

I love having a garden. There is nothing like going out in your own backyard and picking some fresh vegies, they always taste so much better. I have been having a garden for many years.

Heyya nancyrowina! I have been considering growing a few veggies of my own. I have grown tomatos but I think this upcoming year I may try some other things too. I'd like to try fruits. I am a huge eater of strawberries and blueberries. Maybe I'll try some of those.

Yes, we do every year, we have a small backyard and have put in a garden twice in two different locations trying to find the right spot in our yard...and last year we decided to just do potted vegetables, and it worked out great so we will do that again this year.

We always do tomatoes, and green pepper, and twice we have done cucumbers..but they dont do well in pots so i am going to figure a way this year... even when we had our apartment and a balcony we planted in pots on there two with little veggie plants... we love our own grown...so much tastier.

oh my husband does Jalepeno and a different hot pepper every year, but always the Jalepeno...and tries another... he loves hot foods, and every year they turn out well...I cant wait for spring and to start ours.

hi nancy, we dont have a garden and we only have a small balcony. We once grew chilies as well and we still do have some of them in the freezer, frozen whole, to put into chili con carne or meat dishes.
I would also like to grow some Jalapenos. The idea with the tomatoes in the hanging basket is a great one and I hope it works out fine for you.
